3 FOREWORD Rotaract clubs bring together people aged to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. From big cities to rural villages, Rotaract is changing communities. Rotaract Club, DYPIEMR, with the motto Service to Humanity promotes Humanity as oneness with the help of sustainable values. The purpose of Rotaract-DYPIEMR is to provide an opportunity for students to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. THE OBJECTIVES OF ROTARACT CLUB, DYPIEMR ARE: To develop professional and leadership skills; To focus on respect for the rights of others, and to respect all the occupations. To provide opportunities to young people to address the needs and concerns of the community and our world. To provide opportunities for working in cooperation. To involve people in social activities and to inculcate awareness in them. In view of the above, the event of Organ Donation was organized by The Rotaract Club, DYPIEMR. The main purpose of the event was to involve students, teachers and other faculties. Also to make them work as a team; arouse feeling of usefulness, a feeling of satisfaction and to bring out humanity in them to save the people in need. On behalf of all the Faculty Coordinators, Board of Directors and Rotaractors, we would like to thank our Management, Campus Director Col. S. K. Joshi (Retd.) and Principal Dr. (Mrs.) A. V. 4 ORGAN DONATION Moving hand in hand with the motto of Service to Humanity, THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS EVENT ARE: To enhance the humanity relations To enrol names of people for organ donations To create social awareness To help the needy The key objective of this event was to motivate people of our community towards the organ donation. Nowadays requirement of organs is increasing whereas many people are unaware about this. It is the responsibility of each and every personal to spread information about the organ donation. Organ Donation is not the responsibility of doctors only but of every individual. Our doctors are working hard for the organ transplantation. So everyone should try their best to cooperate with them. The Rotaract Club,DYPIEMR along with Rotary Club of Nigdi and Sahyadri Hospital took an initiative to organise the organ donation drive. The event was scheduled online at and everyone was encouraged to take part in the same. The event was scheduled from 11 am to 7 pm on 9 th August In this drive, students, faculties as well as non-teaching staff took part. They enrolled their name as well as organs which they are willing to donate. In the view of the overall activity, the Rotaract Club of DYPIEMR were able to contribute around 53 pledges to the noble cause. The donor cards were provided to the donors on their respective devices. It is a matter of joy that Rotary Club of Nigdi were able to get a total of 22,000 organ donation pledges which eventually earned their name in Guinness Book of World Records for the maximum Organ Donation pledges in a day.
