This position has enabled me to learn so much more about Alpha Omega and the wonderful people who comprise this amazing organization. It has also served to reaffirm my appreciation for our dental fraternity. You just never know where and when you will happen to meet a fellow Alpha Omegan. I just returned from the American Dental Education Association annual sessions. This meeting includes faculty, students, and administrators. It is a great gathering of all those involved in dental education. I was at a presentation given by dental students about their dental school experience and how faculty can enhance their learning experience. I was so proud when one of the presenters mentioned his affiliation with Alpha Omega. I can assure you that we have wonderful new forthcoming members. It was also a pleasure to speak with him after and mention our common affiliation. I have been fortunate to be president of the Valley Chapter at the same time that my dear friend Rebecca Dayanim has held the same position at the City Chapter. We enjoy working together to create gatherings beyond our dental meetings. We are currently working on scheduling a speaker to discuss current events in the Middle East. This event will be geared not only toward Alpha Omega student and alumni members but also family members and friends. Look for information about this event as we finalize the details. I am looking forward to our next dinner meeting on April 7. Dr. Dan Grauer will be our speaker. It will be wonderful to reunite with everyone and hear an informative lecture from our highly respected speaker. Thank you for a wonderful year. Fraternally, Yaara page 2

Congratulations to Tau Chapter members and leaders for a job well done. Our annual Manusov/Styrt seminar will be held Friday April 1st at Olympic Collection Banquet and Conference Center.

Tau Chapter was awarded the chapter efficiency award by AO International. Additionally Nicole Ahobim and Mikaela Goodman Benlulu were elected International Student Representative and Foundation Student Representative respectively. Congratulations to Tau Chapter members and leaders for a job well done. Our annual Manusov/Styrt seminar will be held Friday April 1st at Olympic Collection Banquet and Conference Center. Our featured speaker, Steve Anderson, will talk on Why Dental Teams Fail. Mr. Anderson is a well known national speaker on office management. The Manusov/Styrt seminar is our main fundraising campaign with the proceeds funding our student chapter activities and philanthropic endeavors. I invite all of you to attend this seminar along with staff members to hear and learn from our dynamic speaker. 5 April 2016 The Alumnist AO/HSC Holocaust Survivors Oral Care Program On Sunday, February 21, at our Regency meeting, the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles City Alpha Omega Chapters in collaboration with Henry Schein Cares and the Los Angeles Jewish Family Services, officially launched the Holocaust Survivors Oral Care Program in Los Angeles. We were very happy to welcome International President, Wendy Spektor and her husband, Past International President, Michael Spektor as well as Program Director, Bernice Edelstein who spoke and gave us an overview of how the program works.
