1 In Unity we are constantly encouraged to grow in the awareness of the unity of oneness within the diversity of humankind. This is sometimes a bit of a challenge if we focus on our differences rather than our similarities. The old Unity Hymn, Weave, is a prayer to weave us together in unity and love. It is fitting that we are studying the Enneagram this month. This is a rather ancient system that explains the 9 different personality or behavior types within the whole of humanity. We are learning why each of us has chosen our individual path of behavior as a way of survival and coping with the human condition. We begin to understand each other with more compassion as we learn why we each of us is the way we are, and why we behave the way we behave. The greatest part of the journey is that we become much more tolerant and have much more patience with those around us. The Enneagram is very much in harmony with Unity beliefs of empowerment. We are each encouraged to first accept both our positive and shadow qualities of ourselves and then to grow from unhealthy patterns of behavior to healthier behaviors. In this dualistic world of diversity, let us pray to become more tolerant of each other, and to grow in spiritual understanding. We pray, Weave us together in Unity and Love. 2 From the President s Corner Summer seems to be flying by and the boards efforts are oriented to fall activities. We hope that everyone is happy with the parking lot sealing and thanks to all that made this project possible. Summer attendance has remained good for the season. General donations have been down a little but several people have opened their hearts to divine contributions. We indeed are very blessed. Sometime this fall we will be celebrating the return of our snowbirds with a little special party after church. Many of our new members are here year round and they are supporting us with volunteering and financial support. An active social committee has been formed so we look forward to filling this area with activities in the future. Work has already started on our annual Christmas party in December. I hope the summer is finding everyone happy and fulfilled and any travels have been pleasant. Looking forward to seeing everyone back at Unity In The Valley this fall. This leaves a mortgage balance of $135,000. We express our heartfelt gratitude to our Unity members who have given so generously.
