3 By taking direct action and working with partners, SOS Children s Villages Romania supports families and their children in the communities. When children can no longer live with their own families, SOS provides premium alternative care.

11 SOS Children s Villages Bucharest city SOS Children s Village 2 SOS Youth Facilities SOS Social Centre At the beginning of summer 2017: 53 children growing up in the SOS Children s Village 28 youngsters supported by the 2 SOS Youth Facilities 336 children (growing up in 35 families at risk of breaking down) have been supported by the SOS Social Centre.

12 SOS Children s Villages Cisnadie city SOS Children s Village SOS Social Centre Summer Camp At the beginning of summer 2017: 69 children and 15 youngsters growing up in SOS Children s Village 103 children (growing up in 40 families at risk of breaking down) have been supported by the SOS Social Centre.

13 SOS Children s Villages Hemeius city SOS Children s Village SOS Youth Facilities SOS Social Centre SOS Day Care Center At the beginning of summer 2017: 43 children growing up in the SOS Children s Village 11 youngsters living in the SOS Youth Facility 308 children (growing up in 106 families at risk of breaking down) have been supported by the SOS Social Centre.

14 Advocacy We actively promote and stand up for children s rights. We are part of the Federation of NGOs for Children Partnerships with local authorities and other NGOs We actively participate in all working groups and task forces are invited for at national level Good financing mechanism for social services provided by NGOs

Supporting the transition from institutional care to alternative care for children that don t have the possibility to grow with their biological families Building capacities of local authorities, especially in rural areas Fighting child poverty, social exclusion and youth unemployment Supporting Roma integration
