Community support The My 2015 Md Htters Fun Dy, hosted y the servie nd young rer memers ws very suessful gin this yer, we lso trilled Md Htter s Lunheon in Kyle. In totl 213 people prtiipted in the events, signifint numer of people donted their time nd king/ooking, the feedk from everyone involved ws very positive. We im to ontinue uilding on the mny vried nd predominntly free tivities provided. We hve ontinued to reeive vlule support from memers of the wider ommunity who hve eome friends of the S&L Young Crer servie. These friends nd supporters hve provided gift vouhers, mels, lothing, edding nd funds to py towrds tivities during respite outings wy from home. Young rers relly ppreited nd enefited from this dditionl support. Colum 1400, Stffin The Young Crer servie knowledges the very rel enefits for the 10 young rers who prtiipted in the 2015 Ledership Ademy Progrmme. The respite nd fun elements were very highly vlued spets of the residentil progrmme with the lerning eing tken on ord through the estlishment of essile informtion nd the supportive/fun environment. We elieve tht the ims of the tilored progrmme were suessfully delivered in prtnership with the S&L Young Crer servie nd it hs the potentil to eome very positive espoke model for Young Crer groups. Shools Young Crer Identifition Toolkit with Exemplr Child s Plns The Young Crer servie worked in prtnership with Don Esson, Edution Qulity Assurne Offier to develop Young Crers Identifition Toolkit for shools. It hs een knowledged y the Highlnd Counil s Young Crers Improvement Group nd is now ville on Glow - Glow is digitl environment for lerning tht is ville ross Sotlnd. It is funded y the Sottish Government nd presents shools with purpose uilt digitl lerning solution whih supports the delivery of Curriulum for Exellene. Young Crer Child s Pln Audits These were undertken y Young Crer servies in Highlnd during April 2015 t the request of the Hed of Additionl Support Servies in Highlnd Counil. The results evidened some res of onerns whih were knowledged in the dt nlysis report. As result of the udit nd review proess the trget of hving ll identified young rers logged on the Seondry Edution Mngement Informtion System (SEMIs) ws estlished, lthough this hs een requirement for some yers mny young rers hd not een logged. The SLYC servie liised with relevnt shools in S&L nd SEMIs is now up to dte, this should provide improved monitoring of support nd hievement levels of young rers. The Royl Cledonin Bll Trust Chrity Lunh Two young rers supported y SLYC stff ttended the Chrity Lunh in the presene of HRH Priness Anne, the femle young rer ttending hd the honour of presenting ouquet of flowers. Consol Generl of Itly - Liised on our ehlf to seure in-kind support of dinner for 3 nights for 10 young rers nd SLYC stff during our 2015 Edinurgh residentil trip. The young rers nd stff thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful food, tmosphere nd very wrm welome reeived eh evening. Sltire Awrds 1 ex young rer memer nd 1 young rer reeived ertifites for ompleting 25 volunteer hours. Another 2 ex young rer memers hve strted working towrds ertifites for ompleting 10 volunteer hours. Christms Crd Designs One young rer designed Christms rd to help rise funds nd seond ws ompiled from young rer ides. The rds were mde redy for print y lol rtist Smithy who volunteered his time. The rds proved to e very populr nd helped to rise dditionl funds for the servie. Evlution & Future plnning Sine Ferury young rers hve een tively involved in reviewing wht hs een working well nd wht needs to hnge within SLYC servie provision. They hve een identifying their needs nd how these n est e met, s result we now hve pln with new projet title, im, nd outomes drfted in rediness for future funding pplitions.
