2 The Organization! Neural is a 501 (c) (3) non- profit charity dedicated to reaching young teens with a dynamic, peer- led drug preven@on message. We marry adventure Asdf ac@vi@es with a drug preven@on curriculum, focused on leadership development and confidence building, to create a life- changing outreach program.

3 The Program! Our program develops teen leaders and mentors, as well as reaches out to teens dealing with substance abuse problems. Our adventure teach teens powerful socio- skills, as well as how the body naturally rewards hard work and how drugs hijack, and corrupt, those very Asdf same pathways in the brain. The core curriculum for our Neural program includes adventure for a one- of- a- kind experien@al learning experience.

4 Peer-Led Advocacy! Peer- led advocacy is in teen outreach nothing influences teens more than peers who talk in the first person about the problems teens face. Neural Asdf develops strong teen advocates and mentors, as well as reaches out to teens struggling with drug abuse. This has been a life- changing experience. Alexia, high school senior

5 Teen Outreach! Our A3 (adventures, academics) programs offer an outreach to teens who may be struggling with the decision to do drugs, or area already using drugs and are open to an lifestyle a drug- free lifestyle. A3 Crew members par@cipate in our drug- free adventures, Asdf are exposed to posi@ve modeled behaviors, work alongside drug- free teen mentors, and learn how drugs nega@vely impact teen development. 6 Neural Teen Mentors reach out to fellow students and the community to share their drug- free message. Our mentors bring a fact- based, scien@fic drug- free message to young people in a teen- designed, teen- approved format. The mo3o is simple: Absolute Power. Absolute Courage. Absolute Freedom. Absolutely Drug- Free! Started in 2013 with eight high school students Program presented to 2,000+ middle school students Members had awesome adventures (rock climbing, zip lines, canyon rappelling, sledding, cross- country skiing, and more!) Ended school year with 18 students Official school programs at CHS, FMHS, PHS Par@cipa@on expected to hit 100+ this year

7 Asdf Leading The Charge! This newsle3er has been bringing you the latest drug trends and threats facing our teens for more than a year now it s obvious there s a problem in our society. We wanted to tell you about the steps teens in our community are taking to change those trends, and change the future for us all. They ve organized themselves into clubs, spread the word in the hallways, are booking presenta@ons at area middle schools, and are organizing and holding their own fundraisers.
