3 Media Release / Introduction to all club and association presidents Welcome to SportsPass - the new way to fund Australian sport. SportsPass is a dedicated member benefits program for Australian sporting clubs and associations that adds value to club memberships, whilst also providing a new funding source for Australian sport. And best of all SportsPass is free to your members as a participating club or association, joining hundreds of thousands of other sporting club members Australia-wide who will benefit from SportsPass. Club and association members receive the SportsPass card absolutely free as part of their existing membership, with supporter cards available for purchase for family and friends for $25 per annum, with 50% of this cost being returned to the club or association. SportsPass works in two simple ways. Firstly, members of participating SportsPass clubs benefit by having access to a huge range of offers that will save them money. Offers include upgrades, 2 for 1 deal and discounts from hundreds of participating partners, many of which will be updated weekly. Secondly, clubs and associations have the opportunity to raise much needed cash through rebates from purchases from participating companies, including dozens of retailers such as Rivers, Katies, My Pet Warehouse, Oakley, Microsoft, Quicksilver, Roxy, Clarks, Hush Puppies and more. In addition global service and online providers such as Accor Hotels, Hilton Worldwide, Deals Direct, Budget Direct, isubscribe and The Iconic are supporting the SportsPass program. Rebates that will return cash directly to grassroots sports range from 3-50%, offering the thousands of Australian sporting clubs the opportunity to generate recurring income annually for your club whilst your members and supporters go about their daily lives. We encourage you to promote the supporter cards to all your members and supporters as this is an easy way to raise additional funds for your club. 2

SportsPass ambassador, Olympic swimming medallist and CEO of the grassroots swimming club Melbourne Vicentre, Nicole Livingstone OAM, said SportsPass is the missing link for Australian Sport. Not only does SportsPass provide a significant benefit to our club members by offering savings on everyday purchases, by using the SportsPass membership card, our members are raising much needed funds for our club, Livingstone said. SportsPass has the potential to be Australia s version of the UK lottery funding that delivers millions of pounds to UK sport each year. In Australia there is a massive gap in the funding of grassroots sport and SportsPass can fill that gap, Livingstone added. SportsPass founder Chris Coleman said support and feedback from Australian businesses for the SportsPass concept had been overwhelmingly positive. Australian business isn t in a positon to support every sponsorship proposal that crosses their desk, but with SportsPass they can support Australian sport directly in a meaningful way, by helping SportsPass card holders save, and in doing so provide a rebate in cash to participating clubs and associations, Coleman said. With over 100 participating companies Australia wide offering discounts on goods and services, and with more than 1.4 million Australian sporting clubs and association members expected to participate in the SportsPass program within the first six months, SportsPass provides a real opportunity to sporting clubs and associations to be self-sufficient, Coleman added. 5 Fact Sheet The SportsPass card is your member and/or fundraiser card produced for free The member / player card is automatically activated simply have your members login and register to redeem the value within the program instantly, becoming a great value add to joining a club or association. The attached supporter / fundraiser card is only $25 to activate the multiple offers and benefits of value if your member chooses to do so. Instantly 50% of the cards value is given in a rebate to the club or association for the development of the sport $12.00 The SportsPass card can only be purchased through a participating sporting club or association All rebates generated from brands and partners is passed back to you (minus administration fees and charges), from both the member / player card and supporter / fundraiser cards SportsPass will never sell data and takes privacy very seriously What Happens Next? Within the next four weeks you will be receiving a SportsPass welcome box distributed by your association. The SportsPass box will include: Member and Supporter cards Posters (A3 & A4) Your Role President/Club Official: To maximise the best financial return for your club: Distribute your member and supporter cards to your paid members/players Urge them to sell the supporters card to family and friends as an alternative to raffle ticket with the chance to win $2, for both themselves and their club.
