The benefits and organization rules are described below. Here s how the process works. 1. Attend up to 3 Coffee & Contacts meetings as our guest.. 2. Memberships are exclusive by business category. If your business is similar to an existing member(s), we encourage exploration with existing members. 3. Apply for membership using the application below. 4. Make a 3 minute promotional presentation for the group the week you apply. 5. Members in good standing vote on acceptance. 6. You are notified of the membership. 7. Welcome as a new member at our next meeting & receive your complimentary business card holder. Pay your $50 yearly dues by check made payable to WOMEN S POWER NETWORKING 8. Receive a copy of the membership s contact information. 9. Your membership profile is updated on the meetup site identifying you as a (* Member*) with your business description. This is a terrific opportunity to explain your business with the members. 2 A Message from Our Founder Dear Prospective Member, Coffee and Contacts was created to meet the needs of professional women like you, a professional who is seeking like minded women to connect with and develop a mutually profitable referral base. Our model is unique taking the best of the networking organizations adding a personal touch and professional development focusing on women only. Coffee and Contacts offers quarterly Power Lunches as an additional opportunity for members to network and develop additional business skills. These sessions are moderately priced and open to guests. We invite you visit any of our Chapters. Membership is exclusive to each chapter by industry and approved at the Chapter level. New Chapters are opening throughout the Triangle. Women who understand the power of networking together to maximize their effectiveness in the marketplace. Women who are willing to commit one hour a week at least 3 mornings a month. 4 Basic Rules to Stay in Good Standing Membership Rules & Approval Form 1. Members attend our weekly meetings and are committed to attending every week. Three out of four weeks attendance is required to hold an exclusive spot. 2. Members RSVP each week on the Meetup.com web site so the organizers can be prepared with seating and materials for all attendees. 3. As members, we try our best to use the services or products offered by them members of our group or refer other people to them. 4. We are aware that there is no quota for the number of referrals we must give. 5. We all understand that we are vital members of this organization, and we agree to take an active role in making this the best networking group in the area. 6. New members are admitted with the approval of the organizers and voted by the group. They must not be in a business or profession that competes with another member. Membership Dues Our annual dues payment is $50, and there is a weekly charge of $1.00 to cover meetup costs and miscellaneous organizational expenses. Members remain in good standing with the group if they do not take an extended break (excluding vacations and illness).
