2 MISSION STATEMENT The Long Beach Human Trafficking Task Force is a multidisciplinary, survivor-centered, collaborative community effort by law enforcement agencies and community-based organizations to combat human trafficking by identifying, rescuing and empowering survivors and assisting in the prosecution of traffickers. We also have counseling for a low cost of $30 first visit and $25.00 on-going. The LaTEENa Power Program is 8 weeks and empowers Latina girls.we welcome volunteers and hire interns from colleges throughout the year. We provide a 24 hour hotline for victims and others in the community to call and get connected to services or report tips. Additionally, we provide case management and legal services to survivors of human trafficking, including a 10 bed transitional housing program. Provide trainings to other service providers on identification of human trafficking and best practices in providing services. We also provide training for law enforcement agencies, social service providers, law firms, corporations, and faith-based organizations and coordinate Survivor Leadership programs including the Survivor Caucus and National Survivor Network, which serve as a forum for survivors to connect for support, education, and advocacy efforts. We provide advocacy and support for families whose loved one has been a victim of sex trafficking or sexual exploitation, including survivor advocacy and support groups for women, lgbtq, and transgender survivors.. Additionally, we provide training for families, churches, schools, and community groups. Our intervention programs are 12 weeks long, and include a 10 week sex trafficking intervention course, case management, addiction counseling, trauma informed yoga, career development, zumba, and survivor support groups. For The Child meets this challenge by providing both comprehensive child abuse treatment and family focused mental health care, counseling, and therapy to strengthen families and provide the tools of healing to children. Just recently the Long Beach City Prosecurtors Office accepted our offer to provide a 12-week Diversion program for female victims associated with human trafficking called Phenomenal Women which includes 10 weeks of "Ending the Game" curriculum and 2 weeks of Empowerment sessions. This is geared towards the 18 and over population. In time, it is our goal to focus on the CSEC population with implementing a diversion program called Phenomenal Me. The Phenomenal Woman Diversion Program is a pilot program at this time for 10 people. After the initial Pilot program we will determine how many sessions of the program we can run simutaneously. We provide professional counseling services to individuals, couples and families. We accept most insurances and work on a sliding scale for cash clients. Website: Service Area: LA County surrounding areas Our mission is to empower kids, communities, industry sectors, and regions that are most affected from this issue of child exploitation. We empower people, educators, parents, and kids through our Empower Youth Prevention Project. We also train adults to use our program so we don't have to be present when our program is being used. We train law enforcement and the trucking industry to make a call when they signs of trafficking or even when they see a reported missing child. We organize advocacy events in high schools, and/or university campuses that engages youth and young adults to find solutions that help solve this problem. We have over 55 short films used for training, educating, and mobilizing people to engage the issue in their social sector. We have a Global Mixed Media Immersive Exhibit that could engage thousands of people in one location. IJM's Government Relations & Advocacy team mobilizes people around the country in support of U.S. policies that combat modern-day slavery and promote the development of public justice systems abroad to protect the poor from violent oppression. Working with individuals, students, churches, and volunteer state advocacy leaders, we encourage national and state policymakers to use their influence to champion the rights of the poor and vulnerable. Interval House operates two emergency shelters, four transitional housing sites, two comprehensive outreach centers, and satellite offices for victims of domestic violence. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. JLLB is one of 293 Junior Leagues throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Great Britain and is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). The Junior League of Long Beach works with community partners in Long Beach to combat bullying through character development and life skill programs for 5 th 8 th graders and their caregivers that encourage relationship building and respect for self and others. To support its mission goals, JLLB launched TheConfidencePost.com, a weekly blog designed to create an online community for middleschool aged children and their parents. Through needs assessment, support of fund development and volunteer hours, the Junior League of Long Beach has been instrumental in launching more than 60 projects and programs into the greater Long Beach community. The Junior League of Long Beach is also a member of the Junior Leagues of California State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC), a non-partisan advocacy and education organization charged with promoting legislation favorable to its member Leagues community projects and focus areas and tracking all legislation that would affect those projects and areas. At the conclusion of a two-year bill cycle, thirteen bills supported by SPAC made their way to the Governor s desk and into law in the Fall of These bills include SB-1165 Pupil Instruction: Sexual Abuse and Sex Trafficking Prevention Education and SB-1388 Human Trafficking. Our mentoring program pairs college students with students in grades K-12 at specific partner sites across the Long Beach Unified School District who are at risk of either failing a core class or a grade. Our high school program serves students in alternative education high schools in LBUSD and provides life skill, college prep and career readiness curriculum in a traditional classroom style setting. Service Area: Los Angeles County,, Khmer, Tagalog, All languages The program assists victims and/or their families with filing an application for financial losses including, but not limited to, compensation for medical expenses, mental health counseling, loss of income, funeral/burial costs, crime scene clean up, and job rehabilitation. We review cases for potential filing, prosecute the Human Traffickers, and refer victims to services offered by other branches of the LADA and other agences. Website: Mary Magdalene Project Service Area: California Mission The Mary Magdalene Project fights for the freedom and survival of women and girls in Los Angeles whose lives have been destroyed by commercial sexual exploitation. We provide support groups for commercially sexually exploited women and girls, a court diversion program for adult victims of commercial sexual exploitation, and a drop-in-center offering support groups, counseling, individual therapy, survivor mentorship, case management, food, clothing, hygiene, condoms, HIV testing & education. Additionally, we provide domestic minor sex trafficking prevention and intervention programs held within the community, a street outreach program and training and education on commercial sexual exploitation for social service providers and law enforcement. Million Kids Phone: (951) Hours: 8:00AM 9:00PM Website: Service Area: All of U.S., Concentrated in California Education to prevent human trafficking Limited Million Kids delivers proprietary programs to corporations, universities, churches, civic organizations and government agencies to human trafficking. Our Training programs are customized to the audience and can be from 3 to 3,000, depending on the application. We often customize our training programs to specific groups. We have four programs: The Love Trap; Grace, Hope and Fatherhood; Seduced: the Grooming of American Teenagers: and Cambodian Sex Trafficking. The Love Trap is all about human trafficking/child sex trafficking including how the predator identifies their targets, grooms and recruits and how to keep kids safe. Grace, Hope and Fatherhood is an downloadable on line program for churches to create and implement programs for the most vulnerable targets of trafficking. Seduced: The Grooming of Americas Teenagers, is a book and presentation about how predators use social media and on line gaming to access, groom, recruit, and exploit both guys and girls into sex trafficking. For Cambodian Sex Trafficking, we work with Rapha House International, the largest safe house in Cambodia that rescues kids from sex exploitation and develops vocation al programs for the survivors and their families. 22 National Council of Jewish Women Long Beach Section 3801 E. Willow Ave., Long Beach, CA (562) (President Ann Millman) Website: Under design locally; nationally, Service Area: Long Beach area and part of Orange County NCJW is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish vaues, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. We will co-host the training on the Hotline Poster Implementation Project with LBTTF.
