7 Chapter NextGen Group Details Our NextGen Group is Currently in the Mature Stage Number of people in our NextGen group 115 (approximately 30% of Toronto Chapter) The Toronto NextGen group has been in existence since 2010 How our NextGen group is structured The NextGen committee is a subcommittee of the Toronto Chapter TMA Board The leadership is comprised of a Co-Chair, Chair and Past-Chair, with each position being a one-year term Each year we send out a request for expressions of interest to be part of the committee. We identify several roles which we look to fill (i.e. marketing, sponsorship, event planning, marketing and membership) Our objective is to create a balanced committee between accountants, lawyers, lenders and other industry sectors, male/female, etc.

16 Chapter NextGen Group Details Our NextGen Group is Currently in the Growth/Mature Stage Number of people in our NextGen group 60+ The Philadelphia Chapter NextGen group has been in existence since March, How our NextGen group is structured 8 member NextGen Committee Committee meetings 3-4 times a year Each event is assigned a point-person from the Committee
17 Summary of Mature Chapter Data Board Structure Well developed board chair and Vice Chair roles A solid board or committee structure that can be effectively utilized to assign and delegate responsibilities Types of Events Have a good mix of both educational and social events Attendance Typically heavier attendance at social events Anywhere between 75% - 130% more People want to get to know their peers! NYC is an exception only group that has more attendance at educational events (25% more at educational events)
18 Summary of Mature Chapter Data Event Attendant Charges Tend to charge for social events Makes sense typically the highest number of attendance Average member cost = $48; average non-member cost = $58 Also tend to provide free educational events The data shows that mature chapters are providing educational events as a free membership benefit Also makes sense in exchange for your $300, you ll get educational benefits within the field Use of Promotions High use of promotional activity

One member of the Texas [Houston] Chapter s Board of Directors has the primary responsibility for organizing the NextGen Group s meetings and events. This director is also the chair of the NextGen Group. Other NextGen members assist the chair in organizing our group s events. The active NextGen members try to meet at least twice a year.
