1 May GFWC-WS 116th Annual Convention Dawn Magden Insta!ed as GFWC-Washington State President The Annual GFWC-WS Convention for 2012 was held at the Red Lion Hotel in Olympia on April The convention celebrated its 116th anniversary with the highest attendance in recent years. The Installation Banquet was held on Saturday evening and much to the pride of GFWC Valley Volunteers, our own Dawn Magden was installed as GFWC Washington State President for Dawn delivered her Presidential Address to members and guests and shared her theme of Serving Together, Achieving Results or STAR. Every attendee received a pewter STAR pocket charm as a reminder of how bright a STAR they are and, together, they create a brilliant shine for GFWC Washington State. Kathie Jorgensen, Outgoing GFWC-WS President, aﬃxes the GFWC-WS Presidential pin on Dawn. With elegance, professionalism and grace, she touched the hearts of everyone with her words. Page 1
