1 [Type text] MEMON WELFARE SOCIETY SAUDI ARABIA Monthly Newsletter August 2014 Issue No. 62 ويلفيي ر ميمن کو برادری پوری مبارک عيد سے طرف کی سوساي ٹی -x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x- Dear Brothers and Sisters, Assalamo Alaikum WRWB We hope everyone of community would have enjoyed Eid Al Fitar Holidays with their loved ones either here in Saudi Arabia or abroad. Also hope, after eid holidays, everyone would have come back to his job and business with normal spirit as he used to have before Ramadan. Now the fasting is finished; the nightly prayers are over; the group gatherings to break the fast have vanished. We can eat, drink, and be merry again when the sun is shining. And that special feeling you have in your heart the one that keeps you going despite your hunger and thirstgradually fades away. Al Hamdo Lillah we ready to have another sacred event of Haj soon, insha Allah. As usual, an Iftar with Dinner was held last month on 7 th July 2014 for male members of our community residing in Saudi Arabia. It was very successful event and the noble objective & goal of Iftar was achieved. The detailed report is placed in following pages for your information. Another Iftar Program was held for families of Board Members on self sponsored basis. Since most of our community members travel abroad to spend their Eid Holidays along with vacations with their families and relatives in their home countries, we do not hold Eid Reunion event. -x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x- Eid Mubarak from Patrons, Office Bearers and Members of Managing & Advisory Committees Office Bearers with Patrons However, we have started preparation from now to hold a mega event during Sep/Oct 2014 which will include prize distribution to meritorious students of the year, elocution contest, enlightening speech from a scholar etc. We expresses gratitude to the entire community, particularly to it regular readers of the Newsletter for their kind support, cooperation and guidance through their feedbacks from time to time. We request once again our community brothers and sisters to send us their informative write ups, articles, essays or messages of their thoughts, ideas, views and feelings & impression about newsletter, we shall review and insert them in our bulletin, if fit for the newsletter. 2 [Type text] MEMON WELFARE SOCIETY SAUDI ARABIA August 2014 Issue 62 The Welfare Services of Memon Welfare Society ميمن ويلفيي ر سوساي ٹی کی فلاحی خدمات Thanks to Brothers: Irfan H.Ahmed Kolsawala Salim Habib Burmawala Abdul Qader M.Amin Teli For sponsoring the cost of 3 Roll up Stands (one by each) for MWS-MASA to use them in our events instead of Banners. Helping needy students for education fee Helping Community members for health care for those who cannot afford or some time face financial hardship. Facilitating & organizing Coffin & Burial Services including legal procedure. Helping & guiding job seekers. Offering Voluntarily Matrimonial services Beside above we are assisting some Madrassa by paying fees of needy students and school where the students will receive free education who cannot afford even the nominal fee. We also hold other social & welfare activities for our community such as Seminar, Families get to gather together, Career guidance sessions, evening with scholar, and also help financially and materially the victims of natural disaster such as flood in Pakistan and Earth quake etc. During last one year we have sent SIX shipments of used clothes for needy & deserving people in Pakistan & India. We also collect unused but packed medicines for free medical camps organized by Pakistan Welfare Society in Jeddah at Consulate General of Pakistan Jeddah. No doubt, Memon Welfare Society is playing a significant role by providing an opportunity to the community families to meet, greet and eat together from time to time, which is a piece of good fortune. It is worth mentioning that we have formed various committees to undertake their respective responsibilities and assignments. In brief MWS is purely social and welfare forum to serve the community and humanity.

5 [Type text] MEMON WELFARE SOCIETY SAUDI ARABIA August 2014 Issue 62 Health Corner: Top 3 health: best weight loss tips Red, Orange and Green rule 1) At each meal include one food that is any of these colors. By focusing on these foods, you'll be sure to get some produce on your plate and won't have space on your plate for higher calorie fare. (Bonus: Colorful fruits and veggies help your skin look healthier and younger!) Eat one less bite 2) Doing this at every meal could save about 75 calories a day, which equates to nearly an eight pound weight loss in one year! Be a heavy (WATER) drinker 3) Water is essential for keeping the body hydrated, and we're actually more likely to retain "water weight" by not drinking enough of it rather than by having too much. The needs of each person will be different, but the general recommended daily amount is 64 ounces. It also takes up space in your stomach so you'll feel fuller while taking in less calories. Little Smile: Biwi ne husband ko subah namaz k liye jagaya... Husband..soone de qaza padh lunga.. Biwi..islam mai jan booj kar qaza karne ki ijazat nahi hai...
