3 PRECAUTIONS: Do not inhale dust or spray mist. Wear suitable protective clothing: rubber boots and gloves, as well as face shield when handling powder. Wash with soap and water after handling and accidental skin contact. Wash contaminated clothing after use. Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing or applying or before washing hands and face and changing clothes. Prevent contamination of food, feed, drinking water and eating utensils. Prevent spray drift onto other edible crops, grazing, rivers, dams or areas not under treatment. Empty container thoroughly over spray tank. Clean applicator thoroughly after use and dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers or dams. Destroy the empty container and dispose of in a safe manner. Do not use for any other purpose. SYMPTOMS OF HUMAN POISONING: Nausea, trembling, salivation, dyspnoea and mydriasis. FIRST AID TREATMENT: Skin contact: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before re-use. Thoroughly clean shoes before re-use. Get medical attention immediately. Eye contact: Check and remove any contact lenses. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Cold water may be used. Get medical attention immediately. Ingestion: DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband. Get medical attention. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Gibsan 500 SP is not a cholinesterase inhibitor. Administer intravenous injection of mg/l L-cysteine or an intramuscular injection of mg of BAL (Dimercaprol). RESISTANCE WARNING: For resistance management, GIBSAN 500 SP is a group code 14 insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to GIBSAN 500 SP and other group code 14 insecticides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly. These resistant insects may not be controlled by GIBSAN 500 SP or other group code 14 insecticidesto delay insecticide resistance: Avoid exclusive repeated use of insecticides from the same insecticide group code. Alternate or tank mix with products from different insecticide group codes. Refer to applicable individual product labels. Integrate other control methods (chemical, cultural, biological) into insect control programmes. Due to resistance of diamond-back moth to pyrethroids, carbamates and organophosphates, use GIBSAN 500 SP in a programme with other registered products with other modes of action in order to combat the build-up of resistance. For specific information on resistance management contact the registration holder of this product. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED COMPATIBILITY: GIBSAN 500 SP is prone to alkaline hydrolysis, therefore the use of the acidifiers/adjuvants BLADBUFF 7 (Reg. No. L8121) or BLADBUFF 12 (Reg. No. L8201) is recommended. [Add the BLADBUFF 7 / BLADBUFF 12 to the spray water prior to mixing in the required amount of GIBSAN 500 SP.]

4 APPLICATION TABLE: CROP AND PEST DOSAGE APPLICATION BEANS & PEAS Potato leaf miner (Liriomyza huidobrensis) Apply at first sign of infestation and repeat at 7-10 day intervals in a programme as a full cover spray. Do not exceed the recommended dose rate as higher rates may damage plants. CABBAGE Diamond-back moth larvae (Plutella xylostella) Apply as a full cover spray using 500 l spray mixture per hectare. Repeat at day intervals. The use of other registered diamond-back moth larvae pesticides is recommended in alternation with GIBSAN 500 SP. (Refer to RESISTANCE WARNING above.) ONIONS Thrips (Thrips tabaci) maximum of 3 kg/ha Apply when first thrips are noticed, and repeat at 7-14 day intervals. The use of other registered thrips insecticides is recommended in alternation with GIBSAN 500 SP. Add a wetter like STOMAWET (Reg. No. L6692) or TRONIC (Reg. No. L3685) to the spray mixture. Do not apply to spring onions. POTATOES Potato tuber moth larvae (Phthorimaea operculella) Apply when first moths are noticed, and repeat at day intervals until infestation decreases. Use 500 l spray mixture per hectare. Ridge at least twice during growing season. Potato leaf miner (Liriomyza huidobrensis) Apply at first sign of infestation and repeat at 7 day intervals in a programme as a full cover spray. Do not exceed the recommended dose rate as higher rates may damage plants. TOMATOES American leaf miner (Liriomyza trifolii) For field tomatoes, apply at first sign of infestation and repeat at 7 day intervals in a programme as a full cover spray. 6 VOORSORGMAATREËLS: Moenie stof of sproeinewel inasem nie. Dra geskikte beskermende klere soos rubberstewels en handskoene asook n gesigskerm wanneer poeier hanteer word. Was deeglik met seep en water na hantering en toevallige velkontak. Was besoedelde klere na gebruik. Moenie eet, drink of rook tydens vermenging of bespuiting óf voordat hande en gesig gewas en skoon klere aangetrek is nie. Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, drinkwater en eetgerei. Voorkom wegdrywing van sproeinewel na ander gewasse, weiding, riviere, damme of gebiede nie onder behandeling nie. Maak die houer deeglik leeg oor spuittenk. Maak spuitapparaat skoon na gebruik en moenie ander gewasse, weiding, riviere of damme met waswater besoedel nie. Vernietig die leë houer en raak daarvan ontslae op n veilige manier. Moenie vir enige ander doel gebruik nie. SIMPTOME VAN MENSLIKE VERGIFTIGING: Naarheid, spiertrekking, kwyling, dispnee en midriasis. NOODHULPBEHANDELING: Velkontak: Ingeval van velkontak, spoel onmiddellik met genoegsame water vir minstens 15 minute terwyl besoedelde klere en skoene uitgetrek word. Was klere voor her-gebruik. Maak skoene deeglik skoon voor hergebruik. Verkry onmiddellik mediese hulp. Oogkontak Maak seker dat enige kontaklense verwyder word. In geval van velkontak, spoel oë onmiddellik met genoegsame water vir minstens 15 minute. Koue water mag gebruik word. Verkry onmiddellik mediese hulp. Ingesluk: Moenie braking veroorsaak tensy so aanbeveel deur mediese personeel. Moet nooit iets per mond aan n bewustelose persoon toedien nie. Maak styfpassende klere soos bv. kraag, das, lyfband of gordel los. Verkry mediese hulp. NOTA AAN GENEESHEER: Gibsan 500 SP is nie n cholienesterase inhibeerder nie. Dien mg/l L-Cysteine binneaars toe, of mg BAL (Dimercaprol) binnespiers toe. WEERSTANDWAARSKUWING: Vir weerstandsbeheer, is GIBSAN 500 SP as n groepkode 14 insekdoder geklassifiseer. Enige insekpopulasie mag enkele individue bevat wat weerstand teen GIBSAN 500 SP en ander groepkode 14 insekdoders het. Indien hierdie insekdoders herhaaldelik aangewend word, kan die weerstandbiedende individue uiteindelik die insekpopulasie oorheers. Die weerstandbiedende insekte mag dalk nie deur GIBSAN 500 SP of ander groepkode 14 insekdoders beheer word nie. Om weerstand teen insekmiddels te vertraag: Vermy eksklusiewe, herhaaldelike gebruik van insekdoders van dieselfde insekdodergroepkode. Wissel af met, of gebruik tenkmengsels van geregistreerde produkte in verskillende insekdodergroepkodes. Raadpleeg toepaslike individuele produketikette. Integreer verskeie beheermaatreëls (chemies, verbouing, biologies) in insekbeheerprogramme. As gevolg van die weerstand van ruitrugmot teen piretroïede, karbamate en organofosfate, moet GIBSAN 500 SP in n program met ander geregistreerde produkte met n ander werkingsmetode gebruik word, ten einde die opbou van weerstand te bestry. Vir spesifieke inligting oor weerstandsbestuur kontak die registrasiehouer van hierdie produk. GEBRUIKSAANWYSINGS: GEBRUIK SLEGS SOOS AANGEDUI VERENIGBAARHEID: GIBSAN 500 SP is geneig tot alkaliese hidrolise, daarom word die gebruik van die versuurders/bevorderingsmiddels BLADBUFF 7 (Reg. Nr. L8121) of BLADBUFF 12 (Reg. Nr. L8201) aanbeveel. [Meng eers BLADBUFF 7 / BLADBUFF 12 met die spuitwater voordat die benodigde hoeveelheid GIBSAN 500 SP bygevoeg word.]

Gebruik 500 l spuitmengsel per hektaar. Erd minstens tweekeer per groeiseisoen op. Aartappelblaarmyner (Liriomyza huidobrensis) 400 g/100 l water tot n maksimum van 2 kg/ha Dien as n voldekbespuiting toe. Begin bespuiting met eerste verskyning van infestasie en herhaal elke 7 dae as n spuitprogram. Moenie die aanbevole dosis oorskry nie aangesien hoër dosisse plante kan beskadig. BONE en ERTJIES Aartappelblaarmyner (Liriomyza huidobrensis) 400 g/100 l water tot n maksimum van 2 kg/ha Dien as n voldekbespuiting toe. Begin bespuiting met eerste verskyning van infestasie en herhaal elke 7-10 dae as n spuitprogram. Moenie die aanbevole dosis oorskry nie aangesien hoër dosisse plante kan beskadig. Begin bespuiting met eerste verskyning van infestasie en herhaal elke 7 dae as n spuitprogram. Moenie die aanbevole dosis oorskry nie aangesien hoër dosisse plante kan beskadig. UIE Blaaspootjies (Thrips tabaci) 400 g/100 l water tot n maksimum van 3 kg/ha Dien toe sodra die eerste blaaspootjies opgemerk word en herhaal met intervalle van 7-14 dae. Die gebruik van ander geregistreerde blaaspootjiedoders in afwisseling met GIBSAN 500 SP word aanbeveel. Voeg n benatter soos STOMAWET (Reg. Nr. L6692) óf TRONIC (Reg. Nr. L3685) by die spuitmengsel.
