SPIRUHACHI What is Spirulina? Spirulina is algae, blue-green in color that grows abundantly in salt and fresh water. It is considered to be a super-food as it is packed with nutrients naturally. In today s context when almost all food is adulterated and modified, Spirulina is like a ray of hope- meeting all necessities that otherwise is difficult to fulfill. Brief history Throughout its evolutionary history, Spirulina has been proved time and again to be the super food that can cater to individuals irrespective of age or sex. In 1940, explorer Pierre Dangeard, a French Botanist, published a journal report on particular algae eaten by inhabitants around Lake Chad in Africa. It was in 1963 that Spirulina became known internationally. A French botanist doing research in Chad on a highly nutritious dry bread green in colour known as daei discovered that the dry bread was made from Spirulina. Finally, in 1967 Spirulina was established as a wonderful future food source in the International Association of Applied Microbiology. In 1969, first Spirulina commercial production plant was set up by the French close to Lake Texcoco in Mexico. In 1974, Spirulina was declared by the United Nations Food Conference as, The best food for the future. In 1992 WHO also commented that "Spirulina is a high quality food product. It is rich in Iron and Protein. It is safe to consume and an excellent nutrient supplement for Children The United Nations has conducted a 5-year toxicology study on Spirulina and found it to be completely non-toxic. NASA tested and found that 1 kg of Spirulina is nutritionally equal to 1,000 kgs of assorted Vegetables. Spirulina became famous after it was successfully used by NASA as a dietary supplement for astronauts on space missions.

Its importance in modern day life SpiruHachi Spirulina has countless health benefits that begin to unfurl almost immediately upon consumption. It gives an immediate rush of energy, improves the level of endurance and reduces fatigue. The immune system gets rejuvenated and the vital organs like the kidneys, heart and liver receive exceptional support. It is a natural detoxifier, oxygenates the blood, and thoroughly detoxifies the body that might cause health complications. It suppresses appetite naturally and makes digestion better. It helps balance the body's ph, thereby reducing inflammation in body. There is no chemical involved as this product is totally free of chemicals. In short, the body receives a fresh lease of life and the difference in health condition is felt after a few tablets of SpiruHachi are taken. SpiruHachi Spirulina- USP Modern day lifestyle is a sad conglomeration of obesity, diabetes, heart diseases- the list is endless. SpiruHachi Spirulina, in this disease fraught world is a blessing- a supplement that is a blessing that helps combat all the major diseases, reinforces inner strength, and ensures a healthy life. The USP of SpiruHachi Spirulina lies in its components: Proteins 70 trillion cells make up the human body of which one-third is continuously aging and these cells are replaced by new cells. Protein that comes from the diet is the only way through which this process of maintenance can be carried on. SpiruHachi provides this usable protein. It is 60-71% pure protein of its dry weight, out of which 83-90% is digestible. It gives 18 times more protein than a piece of steak. Moreover, SpiruHachi due to its amino acid balance and no cellulose wall has got the unique ability to be digested and readily absorbed in the blood stream. Therefore, SpiruHachi has all the ingredients to make the body fit. Let us look at those special ingredients that make SpiruHachi Spirulina unique: It contains all the eight essential amino acids. A large percentage of our cells, tissues and muscles are made up of amino acids. Amino acids play a critical role in making the body function well along with giving cells their structure.

Essential Amino Acids: Isoleucine - It helps in the synthesis of other non-essential amino acids and it is an absolute necessity for optimal growth. Leucine - Stimulates the functioning of the brain and increases the energy levels of muscles. Lysine - Strengthens the circulatory system and maintains normal growth of cells. Helps reduce nerve pain Reduces high blood pressure Lowers risk of heart disease It is the only food source, except for mother s milk, containing substantial amounts of an essential fatty acid GLA that helps regulate the entire hormone system. It contains Omega 9: It isn't strictly "essential," meaning they can be produced by the body. Consuming foods rich in omega-9 fatty acids instead of other types of fat may have a number of beneficial health effects. Benefits of Omega 9: Reduce the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Increase Energy and enhances mood Enhances memory Improves cognitive function

It contains Phycocyanin: It is a protein-pigment complex from the phycobiliprotein (PBP) family and has an intense blue color. It is anti-cancer, anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant in nature and this makes SpiruHachi Spirulina a potent supplement. Phycocyanin is often referred to as the Soul of Spirulina and supports healthy inflammatory response besides many antioxidant effects. Phycocyanin also helps combat common as well as advanced health problems and it is 20 times more potent than vitamin C. Phycocyanin helps in producing stem cells. Stem cells have the ability to fit anywhere and become the any cell as per the requirement of the body. Therefore if the body is able to readily produce stem cells, it means that it has higher chances of getting rebuilt. It stops the development of abnormal cells. It prevents breakage of DNA strands and promotes repair. It has an antioxidant and antiradical action. Studies show that Phycocyanin has antioxidant activity which is approximately 16 times greater than vitamin E and 20 times greater than vitamin C. Phycocyanin has the capability to effectively reduce the toxicity of chemicals found in medicines and heavy metals. It is therefore advised to consume SpiruHachi Spirulina on a consistent basis because its Phycocyanin content helps to fight the after math of ingesting chemicals. Phycocyanin has the ability to fix toxins and expelling them from the body, therefore preventing them from depositing chemicals on to the tissues and disrupting their functioning. It has cancer fighting and cancer preventive attributes of its own. It provides protection and vitality to the body by boosting the immune system, thus helping in faster recovery from an illness. It boosts the body s capability to repair wounds. Spirulina was tested and found to have an ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) of over 24,000 which is 4x the ORAC score of blueberries. The ORAC score is generally used to measure antioxidant ability and concentration in different foods and therefore Spirulina is just the solution for preventing ageing and other degenerative diseases.

It contains Chlorophyll: Chlorophyll helps remove toxins from the blood and boosts immunity. According to a study, 500 milligrams of Spirulina daily combined with zinc supplementation was enough to reduce arsenic toxicity by half. As per recent research, it is able to bind with radioactive isotopes proving to be beneficial for radiation therapy or radioactivity exposure. Chlorophyll is a pigment that gives plants their green colour. It is responsible for the absorption of light in the process of photosynthesis, which creates energy. It is found in many foods that we consume, for example, aloe vera and wheatgrass. Health benefits of chlorophyll include its ability to increase red blood cells, prevent cancer and reduce the pace for aging. It works with our hunger hormones, which influence our appetite and regulate our intake, thus able to aid in weight loss. It enhances the immune system. It stimulates the bone marrow, which is responsible for the production of white blood cells, which protect our body from infectious disease. It also increasing the production of red blood cells to treat and reduce symptoms of anaemia. It acts as a natural deodorant by eliminating foul odours from the back of the throat and mouth. It protects cells from oxidative damage by counteracting harmful free radicals It promotes optimal liver health and the body s natural elimination of potentially harmful toxins Its strong antiviral effects make it a strong skin protector. It improves detoxification is by speeding up waste elimination, balancing fluid levels and reducing constipation. It stimulates the anti-aging enzymes and encourages healthy and youthful skin. It has a calming effect on the nerves and is helpful in reducing the symptoms of insomnia, nervous irritability, and general body fatigue. It helps in the formation and maintenance of strong bones. It is effective in the treatment of various respiratory infections and other conditions such as cold, rhinitis, and sinusitis. It is beneficial for maintaining sexual hormonal balance in both males and females. Vitamin E present in chlorophyll helps to stimulate the production of testosterone in males and estrogen in females.

It contains Beta-Carotene: Beta-carotene is considered an antioxidant and is also a precursor to vitamin A. This compound helps maintain healthy skin and also plays a vital role in eye health. When consumed, it is converted by our body into vitamin A. It can also act as an antioxidant. Vitamin A is an extremely important nutrient during pregnancy. It is needed for healthy development of the brain fetus, along with healthy lung development. Pregnant women should consume 40% increased intake of vitamin A and up to 90% while breast-feeding. It reduces the impact of ultraviolet damage on the skin. It reduces sunburn and irritation because of the prolonged sun exposure. It prevents pre-mature ageing by acting as an antioxidant. It is effective in treatment of skin conditions like dry skin, eczema, and psoriasis. It helps preserves vision. Because of its antioxidant properties, it helps to decrease oxidative damage on the brain. One gram of Spirulina contains one-half of the adult daily requirements of vitamin A (B-carotene). It contains Lutein: Lutein is an extremely powerful antioxidant and therefore can counter free radical damage. It is found in the retina of the human eye and is necessary for a good vision. SpiruHachi Spirulina has got a suitable amount of Lutein and this helps in lowering the risk macular degeneration and cataract. It contains Zeaxanthin: Zeaxanthin is an eye vitamin. It also provides powerful antioxidant activity. It has been shown to improve vision in patients with macular disease. It supports a healthy skin growth and also increases the skin protection.

It contains vitamins: Vitamins are essential nutrients for the body because they perform innumerable roles in the body. They help in the formation of bones, heal wounds, and boosts up the immune system. They convert food into energy along with repairing any cellular damage. B1, Thiamine - Thiamin, or vitamin B1, helps to release energy from foods, promotes normal appetite, and is important in maintaining proper nervous system function Alcoholics are especially prone to thiamin deficiency because excess alcohol consumption often replaces food or meals. Promotes health of nervous system Often called anti-stress vitamin Promotes health of skin, eyes, hair, mouth and liver Works as antioxidant, which helps protect body from signs of aging. Promotes digestion (helps in secretion of Hydrochloric acid, which is essential for complete digestion of food particles). Slow down progression of Alzheimer s Stimulates production of RBC B2, Riboflavin - Riboflavin, or vitamin B2, helps to release energy from foods, promotes good vision, and healthy skin. It also helps to convert the amino acid tryptophan (which makes up protein) into niacin. Higher dose of B2 is usually prescribed to help treat migraine and certain cancer cases Helps maintain the adrenal gland (which responds to stress, maintain proper functioning of nervous system) Supports eye health Assists in body s antioxidant action Decrease the effects of depression by boosting mood and energy level Plays an important role in treating anaemia. It maintains the overall health and found in high concentration in immune cells. Boosts immunity Enhances eye health Help treat allergies Treats viral infections Helps in weight loss Boosts energy Heals burns and wounds Enhances hair growth and improves skin health Fights dandruff Prevents premature graying of hair Vitamin E - Vitamin E is an antioxidant that keeps the immune system strong and fight against viruses and bacteria. Vitamin E aids in the formation of red blood cells and use vitamin K. It also helps widen blood vessels and keep blood from clotting inside them.

It contains minerals: Minerals are as essential as any other nutrient. All nutrients such as vitamins, enzymes, amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, minerals are necessary for the proper functioning of cells. Vitamins and minerals go hand in hand and each will not function optimally without the presence of the other. Minerals are not absorbed easily by the body. For example, calcium must be taken with vitamins D and C, essential fatty acids in the proper ratio to magnesium to be digested. When iron is not digested properly, women tend to become anaemic. Though the mineral is there in almost all foods that we eat, it often goes off undigested and a deficiency gets formed. To take the maximum benefit of iron, it should be had with vitamin C as this would aid in it getting completely absorbed by the body. As nutrients in Spirulina works synergistically to give body its maximum absorption and benefits. Essential minerals are divided into Major Minerals and Trace Minerals. Both the types of minerals are extremely important for the well-being of any individual. Potassium- It is another mineral that is an absolutelynecessity for life. It is required for the proper functioning of the vital organs like the heart, kidney etc. Low potassium is associated with a risk of heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, digestive disorders and infertility. High levels of potassium allow more oxygen to reach the brain, thereby stimulating neural activity and increasing cognitive function Regulate the blood flow in the body Stabilizes blood sugar and blood pressure Enhances bone health and prevents cramps Reduces anxiety and stress Regulate hormones in our body Assists digestive process by breaking down and using carbohydrates

Calcium - This mineral is a must for healthy teeth and bones as 99% of these are composed of calcium. It is a vital ingredient for nerve functioning, blood clotting, immune system, blood pressure regulation etc. It helps lose weight. More calcium in a fat cell means the more fat it will burn. Prevent bone loss and boosts bone mass Protects against kidney stones Prevents from ovarian and breast cancer Helps restore normal menstruation Improves fertility in men by improving the sperm quality Chromium - is very important for metabolism. It helps the body break down proteins, carbohydrates and fats. It also regulates blood sugar levels by transporting glucose to the body cells. Helps prevent diabetes Reduces bad cholesterol Reduce body fat and increases muscle mass Maintains blood sugar levels thus preventing acne and keeping healthy skin Promote healthier vision Helps liver to break down and digest foods easily Copper - It is a trace mineral but is a very important one a must for survival. Copper is found in all body tissues. It makes the red blood cells, maintains nerve cells and the immune system. It also facilitates healing of wounds and provides energy to cells. It converts iron to its useable iron (III) (ferric) form and also helps transport iron around the body. Produces and maintain myelin (Myelin improves cognitive ability, memory, intelligence, problem solving, IQ, reaction time, Attention, learning and reading ability and mood) Maintain healthy white blood cell count Improves bone strength

Iron - is an important mineral because it is a part of haemoglobin. Haemoglobintoo is a vital protein that carries oxygen from the lungs to the whole body, helps muscles store and use oxygen and needed for energy metabolism. Generally, people run the risk of having too less or too much of iron. Too little iron content is bad for children and women who are pregnant or having their periods. Too much of iron, on the other hand can cause iron poisoning. Therefore a correct balance needs to be achieved while having iron supplements. Boosts wound healing Makes energetic Increase in the haemoglobin level, RBC (RBC carries oxygen to various tissues and organs within body. About 70% of our body s iron can be found in RBC) Contributes to brain development Healthy skin Ensures healthy pregnancy prevents maternal anaemia during pregnancy. Pregnant woman should take 27 mg of iron a day. 18mg of iron recommended daily for non-pregnant woman between years. Children with iron deficiency tend to become irritable, restless and unable to pay attention Lack of iron means less oxygen received by brain, resulting in poor memory. Increase appetite and growth in children Helps improves hair texture and reduces dullness by increasing flow of oxygen and nutrients to the hair roots and scalp. Spirulina has 50 times more iron content than spinach, 15 times more than beef or hazelnuts.

Magnesium - It is an essential mineral for muscle and bone health. It is important for the heart, nervous system and brain along with producing antioxidants for warding off diseases. After bones, the highest concentrations of magnesium in the body are found in the heart and brain. It activates adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in the body, which helps to create energy in the body. It plays a role in supporting deep, restorative sleep by maintaining healthy levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep. It reduces stress and stabilizes mood Prevent restless leg syndrome It helps lungs breathe easier Improves digestion and alleviates constipation symptoms Effective blood pressure reducer help reduce pain intensity and improve mobility for people with chronic lower back pain help improve headache pain, including for migraines Reduce hyperactivity and improve cognitive function in children with ADHD Manganese - Though it is an essential mineral, very little is required by the body. Our body contains around 20 mg of manganese is concentrated mainly in the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and bones. It is a powerful antioxidant that removes free radicals from the human body. Essential for proper growth of human bone structure. Essential for post-menopausal women, as they tend to have manganese deficiency after they go through menopause, weakening the bones. Due to its antioxidant property, it monitors the activity of free radicals in human body, which are capable of damaging human cells and causing cancer. Controls the level of sugar in blood It has anti-epileptic quality. Helps liver function properly and runs smoothly Reduces sprains and inflammation Helps with PMS by alleviating the mood swings, headaches, depression, and irritability Boosts vitamin absorption, specially Vitamin B and E Improve Digestion
