For best results, clean the area and apply Thermocal Neutralizer to the ground (or whitewash) before adding new bedding. Apply 1 lb. per 1 square feet. May also be applied to existing bedding. THERMOCAL NEUTRALIZER PH COMPARISON Generally most bacteria, protozoa, viruses, and parasites grow in the range of - ph. They are dependent on this ph level in their environment because each pathogen exhibits optimum growth in neutral ph levels. Higher ph levels are detrimental to pathogen survival. Thermocal Neutralizer has a ph of 9 and when it is added to the environment of the above pathogens, the survival rate decreases because the pathogens have a lesser chance of growth in this basic environment. Under these conditions, growth of these potential infectors is limited when ph reaches 9. With Thermocal Neutralizer having the ph of 9, the rates of the pathogen growth will drop and they will die off. 6 Van Beek Natural Science s patented active compound, eliminates bacteria, fungus, and yeast. The compound is composed of a proprietary blend of essential oils. How do you know if a Van Beek product contains the VBNS compound? Look for the green circle with a large black X. These products are marked Control. Van Beek has conducted in-depth clinical tests and field trials to prove the effectiveness of the VBNS compound. These tests were conducted by universities such as Cornell and Iowa State along with several independent laboratories. Compared to Antibiotics The effectiveness of VBNS compound is compared to antibiotics in several studies. Figure 1 shows the results of a disk diffusion test. The side-byside comparison shows Gentamicin s inhibitory effects against Staphylococcus aureus, compared to VBN s compound. As you can see by the area of inhibited growth, VBNS s compound was more effective. Van Beek Natural Science s Patented Active Compound The chart below displays the results of susceptibility tests completed at Cornell University (Figure ). These tests compared several antibiotics to VBNS s compound. VBNS s compound had a greater effect in all instances against the varieties of bacteria that were tested. Gentamicin VBNS Figure 1. VBNS s compound tested against Staphylococcus aureus by Iowa State University 00 using clinical antibiotic gentamycin (10 micrograms, left hand plate) or VBNS s compound (saturated disk). Compared to Raw Essential Oil A test conducted by Iowa State University compared the effects of raw essential oil to VBNS compound. Figure 3 shows the increased effectiveness of the combination on just one of the bacteria tested, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
