2 Introduction to the Convention Dear Colleagues, The Convention aims at promoting a unitary point of view of the rehabilitative approach in the field of painful pathologies affecting the fascial structures. This term means many tissues with different structures and functions: from the loose connective tissue to the dense connective tissue, from the serosa to the visceral ligaments, from the nervous tissue to the muscle tissue. It is in our opinion that it would be essential to develop an integration between the concept of anatomy as something concerning the fascial tissue in itself, analogous to the one proposed by the Federative Committee on Anatomical Terminology (A fascia is a sheath, a sheet or any number of other dissectable aggregations of connective tissue that forms beneath the skin to attach, enclose, separate muscles and other internal organs), and the functional one thought as a network of continuity between different hierarchical levels of the organization of the human body that develops through the multidimensional and multifunctional structure of the fascia. Everything mentioned above forms part of the perspective which sees the Human Being as something unique and as a whole. In order to let therapy and rehabilitation bring benefits, it is necessary to take into account that the fascial therapy is incomplete if the body equilibrium is not reactivated. In the same way, the neuromuscular rehabilitation therapy can not contribute to the reactivation of an optimal body equilibrium if the fascial resistances are not released. Simultaneous interpretation: Italian/German/Italian Italian/English/Italian 14 CME credits will be released. The Convention is open to all health professionals and is accredited for: - Doctors and Surgeons (Orthopedy, Physiatry, Ophthalmology); - Dentists; - Physiotherapists; - Orthopedic Technicians; - Podiatrists; - Healthcare assistants. The verification method will consist in a multiple-choice test. In case of non-participation, the cost of the Convention won t be refunded.
