SRAM & CAS are the online systems that transmit your students' marks to Montreal CEGEPs. 3 SRAM/CAS export Instructions Note: If you have already submitted your marks but realize that you made an error, you can always re-submit your information. SRAM / CAS Export procedure: Go to Operations / Export files / Export student marks for SRAM/CAS Verify the configurations: Include groups without marks? Enable to send in all course-groups, including those where the students do not have marks. Code filter: To block specific course-groups from being transmitted, indicate it here. Use an exclamation mark ('!') to indicate 'not'. For example, if you do not want to transmit Hebrew course-groups, and all Hebrew course-groups begin with the course code HEB, write:!heb Org: Enter your three-digit organizational code. Note that schools who have two organizational codes (one for section francaise) will need to do this operation twice, on for each organizational code. Click Go (F10) Once the operation is complete, a screen will pop up to indicate the number of students exported, the websites for SRAM & CAS where your file should be uploaded, and the location of where the file was saved on your computer

4 4 Dash Help Manual Once you click OK, you will see a list of all the permanent codes, course codes and marks. Scan this list to ensure that there are no missing numbers on the end of any given line, or if there are, that they make sense. For example, if a student was not given a mark for a specific course-group but they are still registered for the course-group, this file will show a missing mark. Here's how you read the lines: ALLN ALLN ALLN ALLN = your school's organizational code ALLN = a student's permanent code = MELS course code (in this case Art Secondary V) 94 = the student's mark 86 = the class average for this course-group When exporting the marks for SRAM / CAS in Term 2, the student's mark and the class average are a summary mark of Term 1 + Term 2.

5 SRAM/CAS export 5 Locate the SRAMEXP.TXT file from where it was saved in your computer. Dash will save the file in the Dash folder. To find it, double-click in the top-right corner of Dash to open up the Dash folder, then sort on file name to find SRAMEXP.TXT Upload this file to both SRAM & CAS by the deadlines given.
