11 VISA Consumer Profile Data The City of Waxahachie contracted with Buxton Company to perform an analysis on our retail economic condition and to create an actionable program to recruit and retain retail. Through an exclusive contract with Visa, the Buxton Company was able to receive expenditure data directly from Visa. This expenditure data can then be matched to Buxton s household level database to profile the demographic and psychographic characteristics of those households. For Waxahachie, those consumers that live with the zip codes and were identified as Residents. Those that live outside of these zip codes were identified as Visitors. 11
