4 LOCAL OPTION ELECTIONS re fourteen local option elections held in Nine were called to seven remained "wet," two became "dry." Three were called to three remained "dry. II One II we III for on and off-premise consumption, ''wet'' for off-premise consumption only. (Note: The Distriet Court r that this election was null and void. The area is now "wet" for on -premise consumption.) One "we til for off-premise consumption only, "wet" for on and off-premise consumption. One was county-wide. were justice precinct, and one was incorporated city. In the following tabulations the first figure denotes the "wet ll total, and cond figure the IIdry" total.) Bosque County, on December 6, 1958, voted 743 for the legal sale of beer for off-premise consumption on!y and 2, 479 against the Iegal sale of bee r for off-premise consumption only. " ZORLA COUNTY: Justice Precinct No.5, Brazoria County. on January 4, 1958, voted 202 for the legal sale of beer and 402 against the legal sale of bee~. This precinct was "wet" before the election was held and became lldry. 5 JEFFERSON COUNTY: Justice Precinct No.1. Jefferson County, on November voted 10,643 for the legal sale of all alcoholic beverage:s and -5.~457 -against the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages. Jefferson' County~ on November 4, 1958, voted 500 for the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages and 267 against the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages.
