MGC eshooter November 1, 2016 As much as we would all like to have the nice Fall weather stick around, it s coming to an end, and with that our Winter schedule goes into effect November 1st. We will be open Wednesday s noon to 4 and Saturday and Sunday s 10:00 AM to 4 PM. We would like to thank everyone that has supported us throughout the summer and fall and participated in the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League, Summer Leagues, the High School Pre- State Shoot, SCTP Shooting Events, the registered Trap, Skeet and 5- Stand shoots and the Vintage Gun Shoot. Our Club is only as good as the members and guests that support us and we have, without a doubt, some of the best people involved in the shooting sports you will ever meet spending time at MGC. 2 Membership Renewal It s not too early to be thinking of renewing your MGC membership and we hope you all do. We strive to bring you the most bang for your money and offer you the best shooting facility in the upper Midwest. There will be a membership renewal form in the next newsletter and in the mail soon but you can get a jump on it and see one of the friendly faces at the front counter or just give us a call and we can process the transaction over the phone MGC Scholarship Fund Raffle & Holiday Party Again this year we are holding a raffle to fund the MGC Pullers Scholarship that is awarded to one of our great young adults that is going to further their education. We have a great list of prizes entice you to help out. First prize is a beautiful Shamrock Leathers leather shooting bag. 2 nd through a bunch of other places, we keep adding prizes, will be shells, rounds, and MGC clothing. 3 be awarding the $ Scholarship at our annual Holiday party, January 1 st. This year s recipient is Adam Jarnagin. Adam has been working at MGC for about 2 years but has been around MGC since he was about 7 years old. That being due to his Mom starting and coaching the Burnsville Trap Team. Adam shot on the Burnsville Trap Team for 5 years. Adam is taking his generals at Normandale Community College and then transfer to Mankato or Winona State to receive his 4 year Bachelor Degree in nursing. If you happen to see Adam while at MGC, give him a pat on the back for doing such a great job for us and receiving the 2016 Scholarship Award. Make plans to attend and possibly go home with some great merchandise. 4 Winter MGC Yes, we are already on winter hours but that doesn t mean the shooting has stopped. Jackpot Trap is in full swing and 5 Stand Jackpot will be going also. Saturday for Trap and Sunday for 5 Stand. In either of these games just about any score can be a winner and you go home with some cash. It s for fun and a good way to spend an off season day at MGC. Check the website for more information. Important Reminders.. MGC is a shotgun only shooting facility that allows target loads ONLY. We operate under a Conditional Use Permit and have to watch/police what is used very closely. So, no slugs, no hunting loads, no shot larger than 7 ½. And, this includes the pattern board or firing a few rounds to see if your gun cycles properly. Sorry, but can t allow it. So, check Judicial Rd, Prior Lake, MN 55372,

5 your shells and vest to make sure one doesn t slip through. Judicial Road is a 40 mph speed limit posted road. Scott County/Dakota County watch 185th St pretty close and we ve heard they might be setting up on Judicial too. Please observe this speed limit. 10 MN State Sporter and 2 gun divisions. There are few women in this sport and for only shooting rifle for two years this is a great accomplishment.
