2 Take your best shot! GET READY... Prepare yourself for a fun time and friendly competition at the Straight Shot Sporting Clay Event at Colorado Clays in Brighton! Now in its 12th year, this unique fundraiser is one of the largest of its kind in the state! The Friday course is set for a fun day of corporate amateur team shooting with team scoring. Networking with peers, cocktails & cigars, live auction, and a BBQ dinner prepared by Halliburton follow the shooting. Awards complete the evening. More time to network with peers! By participating in the Straight Shot Sporting Clay Event, you ll be taking aim at more than just clay targets. You will also be helping to raise funds for Ability Connections Colorado s programs and services. Last year alone, Ability Connection Colorado provided help to nearly 41,000 Coloradans in the areas of Early Education, Employment Services and through their seven Statewide Family Support Services. 4 Creative Options provides high quality early care, education, intervention, prevention for children and family involvement/support activities for parents in 4 area early education centers, supporting the social, intellectual and physical development of children (Pre-Birth to Five) and their families in the Denver Metro Area. children receive developmental screening and assessment services, individualized mental health services and other services tailored to their diagnosed disability or other challenge. Benefits are that children are physically and emotionally healthier, and school ready and families have become better parents, more self sufficient cient and positive members of their communities. Employment Works provides support by certified employment professionals for youth and adults with disabilities and other challenges in obtaining and retaining choice driven employment that matches their interests... Includes in-depth pre and post employment services, such as: job placement services and benefits planning. Benefits are that individuals gain job knowledge, obtain and retain jobs, decrease federal benefits, as appropriate, assure federal benefits are obtained, as needed, or that individuals choose to seek more education/training for future job access. Statewide Family Support Services: Supports individuals with disabilities and their families/loved ones throughout Colorado in their efforts to be self-sufficient and effective partners with healthcare, public schools, public policy and legislative systems through seven, family/parent driven organizations. Benefits are that families are better able to take care of loved ones through further education, increased advocacy skills and contact with other parent mentors. Faith in Action matches people with disabilities with supportive faith communities and volunteers to assist them with activities of daily living. Guardianship Alliance of Colorado (GAC) provides information, assistance and coordination concerning guardianship, conservatorship and related matters for adults unable to make their own legal or medical decisions. Infantile Scoliosis Outreach Program (ISOP) raises awareness for parents, orthopedic surgeons, family practitioners and their technologists regarding the availability and effectiveness of a non-invasive, gentle Early Treatment process for infantile scoliosis, resulting in a cure. Parent to Parent of Colorado enables a statewide network of families and parent matching to provide information, mentoring, support and systems change for parents of children with disabilities and/or special healthcare needs.
