16 Research: Fueling Medical Discovery $525, The amount secured in lung cancer research for North Carolina in The number of researchers being funded at five leading cancer centers across the state. $1.1 Million The total amount we have raised in lung cancer research. Our support has jump-started the careers of researchers who have gone on to receive further funding from the National Institute of Health, Department of Defense and the American Cancer Society

21 Access: Easing the Burden Patient Access to Care Gas Card Program: The goal is to lessen the financial burden for patients to receive appropriate lung cancer treatment $50,000 1,000 Since we began the gas card program, we have funded $50,000 in transportation assistance to NC patients Number of gas cards that have been given out to patients in treatment across NC since 2014.
