2 MISSION ASEAN CAMP 2016 with the theme of ASEAN Students with ASEAN Community organized by FPT University in this December, is a forum wherein students with various backgrounds, institutional members and other invitees can share their knowledge and ideas on particular topics, exchange cross-cultures and communicate interactively for One ASEAN Community. The fast economic growth of ASEAN countries recently has emphasized the university s place as a paramount player in a global system driven increasingly by knowledge which is recognized to be more vital to our economies and modern societies. In such a global theme, FPT University, via the ASEAN camp 2016, would like to enhance the mutual understanding among tertiary institutions, bring together our future young leaders and expand a partnership network with other universities in the region, as well as build a long lasting friendship for all members toward ASEAN Community. ORGANIZER: FPT University, the leading university in the Globalization Strategy of Vietnamese Education. Its mother company (FPT Corporation) is a multinational IT company with nearly 30,000 employees in 20 countries, including some ASEAN countries. GUEST SPEAKER (Tentative): Madame Ton Nu Thi Ninh Ton Nu Thi Ninh, former Vice-Chair of the National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee - S.R of Vietnam, a famous diplomat specialized for multilateral institutions and global issues of Viet Nam. She is widely recognized as an effective spokesperson for Viet Nam. PARTICIPANTS: Undergraduates, graduate students, faculty members and individuals who have interest in strengthening the partnership network among ASEAN universities are encouraged to participate in this camp. 3 CAMP MAIN ACTIVITIES The camp distinguishes itself following three key tracks of ASEAN Community: Education, Economy and Culture, through which highlights the role of universities in the ASEAN region s development. VIP TALK ON ASEAN COMMUNITY: This agenda is conducted by Madame Ton Nu Thi Ninh, a famous Vietnamese diplomat. Her talk is expected to provide insightful information about the future of ASEAN Community. The afternoon workshop facilitates campers to share their ideas about the role and contribution of tertiary educational institutions in ASEAN common development. A FIELD TRIP FOR ASEAN ECONOMY: A visit to a leading private corporation in Vietnam (FPT Corporation) enables participants to understand briefly the business environment in Vietnam, also via an on-site VIP Talk exposes them to the opportunities and challenges that ASEAN brings about to its country members. ASEAN CULTURE DAY: The event represents different colors to make an ASEAN community through a range of featured art performances. The campers can show their unique culture as well as sing together in the common ASEAN theme. CITY TOUR FOR VIETNAM DISCOVERY: Campers will have chance to discover the charm of Da Nang- the most live-able city of Vietnam. Da Nang is the young and dynamic city in the central coastal of Viet Nam. NETWORKING PARTY: The party allows campers to enhance the friendship and harmony. PROGRAM FEE: Registration fee for participants from FPT University s partners (including P2A members) is $150/pax including: Airport pick up and departure Accommodation on campus (2 persons/room) Food during the program (3 meals/ day) All activities in the program: VIP Talk, Workshop, Company visit, City tour, Welcome and Networking Pparty, Opening and Closing Ceremony, Certificate of participation. This fee does not cover international travel, insurance and personal expenses of participants during the program. For those who do not come from FPT University s partners, the registration fee is 300$/ pax. 3 FPT University

5 Location & accommodation The program location is based in the FPT City of Da Nang City, 13km south from the City center. The students and accompanying teachers will stay in the dormitory of FPT International Student Exchange Center. Each 2 students of the same gender will stay in one room with these following facilities: Bed, mattress and sheets Mini-fridge & washing sink Toilet Air-con Students can also use the common room area of the dormitory, which has a kitchen, utensils, along with a washing machine to use. 5 FPT University
