Policies and Procedures
TAHH Policies and procedures The True Arena Hua Hin (TAHH) management has established a variety of policies and procedures to ensure the members and guests have a fun and safe experience while using the facilities. It is recommended that our members review the following policies. If you have any questions cregarding our policies and procedures, please don t hesitate to the contact the TAHH management at info@truearenahuahin.com. Policies procedures and regulations may be revised and applied by TAHH management without prior notice.tahh reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time without reason given. - Access to Fitness Center and Membership Card - Fitness Center attire - Group exercise class cancellations - Food and beverages - Fire alarms - Equipment Checkout - Guests/visitors - Health and safety - Injuries - Lost and found - Parking options - Cardiovascular equipment usage procedures - Gymnasium Use - Weight lifting policies - Membership terminations and suspensions - Swimming pool - Tennis/ Squash Access to Fitness Center and Membership Card A membership card is required to gain access into the Fitness Center, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you have lost your card, please talk to one of our Customer Service Representative at the Front Desk to replace your lost card. If you do not have your card and cannot replace it at the time, you may bring another photo ID along with your membership number to gain access. Use of another member s card to gain access to the Fitness Center will result in immediate suspension of membership of the person sharing their membership card. Fitness Center attire Proper athletic attire must be worn while using the fitness centers. Sneakers, socks, athletic pants/shorts, and t-shirts areconsidered appropriate attire. Jeans are not permitted. Jeans often have studs, rivets and zippers which may tear the fabric on the benches. Bare feet or sandals are NOT permitted (except during certain group exercise classes). During rainy days, please bring a dry pair of shoes. The facility attendant on duty may deny access to Fitness Center if you do not have a dry pair of shoes. Group exercise class cancellations The Fitness Center offers as many group exercise classes as possible with a limited number of qualified instructors. There will be times when a group exercise instructor may not be able to instruct a class given personal or medical reasons. At these times, the instructor will make every attempt to find another instructor to serve as a substitute for that class. There may be times when you attend a class with a substitute instructor. However, when an instructor can t find a substitute the class will be canceled. In cases of cancellation, signs or notices will be posted in advance. Please feel free to call the Fitness Center to check on availability. 1
Food and beverages Other than water bottles, food and beverages are not allowed at TAHH except for designated functions or events. It should also be noted that water stations are strategically located throughout the club if you do not choose to bring water with you. Fire alarms Whenever a fire alarm is sounded, immediate evacuation of the building is the appropriate response. If there is a fire alarm while you are using the facilities, you must immediately leave the center through the nearest exit door and remain outside until it has been announced that it is safe to enter the center. Equipment Checkout Participants must check out equipment with their ID. Participants must show their ID when returning equipment. Participants are responsible for lost or damaged equipment. Participants are responsible for returning the equipment that they were issued. In the event that equipment is stolen, lost or damaged, a fee will be assigned to the account the equipment was last lent out to. Fees vary based on the type of equipment. Guests/visitors Guest passes may be used so non-members may use the Fitness Center. A member guest is defined as an individual who is: not affiliated with TAHH and visiting a current member a full or part time staff member of TAHH/Proud group who does not have a current fitness center membership an invited visitor to TAHH that is hosted by a TAHH department Each membership account receives monthly guest passes. All guests must register at Customer Service Desk accompanied by the member. Guest passes are not accumulative. Additional guest passes are chargeable. Guest passes are available at Customer Service Desk. Guests must be at least 16 years of age. a. Present photo ID, sign a waiver and pay at the Customer Service Desk b. Carry your receipt or access card with you to use the facility throughout your visit c. Guest must be sponsored and accompanied by a member at all times d. Guest Passes are good for one entry per person and one calendar day only Health and safety If you have the flu, a cold, or any other contagious illness, please do not train in the centers. Using the Fitness Center with a contagious illness puts you and all other members at risk. Illness causes an individual s system to become weaker and the likelihood for injury increases significantly when training under these conditions. Furthermore, given the nature of physical training, the transmission of contagious diseases occurs quite readily. Bottles of disinfectant and towels are available in the fitness center for cleaning perspiration from the pads and benches. Please be courteous of fellow members and use the supplies provided in the areas that you use. 2
Injuries Any member who incurs an injury or becomes dizzy/ill while using the center should immediately contact a TAHH staff person for assistance. A first aid kit is kept at the Customer Service Desk for minor injuries. In cases requiring more extensive first aid, fitness center staff will contact the appropriate persons/hospital for assistance. It is important that fitness center staff be notified of any cases of injury or illness so that proper procedures can be initiated. Lost and found Articles lost at TAHH facilities are kept in the lost and found boxes located at Customer Service Desk. Contact the staff at Customer Service Desk to inquire about lost items. Items not claimed within 10 days will be donated to charity. Membership cards not claimed within 48 hours are sent to the Customer Service Center TAHH is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Parking options All members and staff must follow proper TAHH parking policies. If you are a visitor or a members guest, please present your ID at the security gate in exchange for a parking card Do not park in front of Maria Restaurant entrance (Drop Off point.) Drop off point is for emergency and loading purposes only. Members must install valid TAHH decals on vehicle or present their current membership card at the security gate Cardiovascular equipment usage procedures Cardio equipment is on a first come, first served basis. We ask that you please limit use to 30 minutes. while people are waiting. Our Personal Training staff can assist you if you have any questions or concerns. Please wipe down cardio equipment after use. Gymnasium: Facility Use Only closed-toe athletic shoes with non-marking soles are allowed Hanging on the rim is not permitted. Dunking is not permitted Participants must refrain from the deliberate abuse of the walls, doors, ceilings, equipment, etc. by kicking or striking with racquets, balls, etc. Disassembling or moving equipment that has been set up is not allowed. Contact Customer Services or a Fitness Manager with questions Violations of any gymnasium court rule may result in immediate ejection from the facility and termination of membership. Weightlifting policies For the courtesy of all TAHH members and for safety reasons, all lifters MUST re-rack their own dumbbells and weight plates after they have finished using them. Searching for sets of weights needed for your weight lifting program can be a hassle and this is easily avoided when all lifters re-rack their own weights. Furthermore, having weights spread throughout the gym poses obvious hazards. Continued failure to abide by this TAHH policy may lead to the suspension or termination of your membership. All lifters MUST use a spotter for safety reasons. If you do not have a lifting partner, ask a staff person to assist you. The use of lifting chalk is prohibited. Please do not slam or drop the weights. 3
Membership terminations and suspensions All TAHH policies and procedures apply to the membership. TAHH staff is responsible for enforcement of membership policies and fitness center guidelines. Courtesy for other members, staff and the equipment in the Fitness Center is expected and required. Loud, boisterous or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. Failure to comply with TAHH policies and Fitness Center guidelines may result in immediate eviction from the facilities or termination of membership with no refund. Swimming Pool Please take a cleansing shower before entering the pool Suitable swim wear must be worn at all times Bottles, drinking glasses and sharp objects are not permitted in the pool area. No diving or jumping allowed Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to use the pool alone unless accompanied by a parent or coach at all times. Please be courteous to other swimmers and do not spit or spout water from your mouth or blow your nose or urinate in the pool Swimmers enter the pool at their own risk. Tennis/Squash Proper tennis/squash attire is required. Please wear only non-marking shoes on the courts. Proper tennis/squash etiquette should be observed at all times. Excessive noise, racquet throwing or profanity will not be permitted at any time. Use of the tennis/squash court will be limited to 1 hour, except for certain times designated by the Club or subject to availability. Outside knockers are not permitted. All private lessons are coursed through TAHH. Only two(2) people per squash court at anytime. 4
