2 Sports & Recreation The only students allowed to use the Gym, Weight Room and participate in intramural/club sports are students who are currently enrolled, have viewed this PowerPoint and have scored 100% on the corresponding quiz. Student I.D Sports and Recreation Rules and Regulations sticker
3 Weight Room Currently enrolled students are eligible to use the weight room during the hours of operation. Operating hours are posted on the door and can be found online. Every student who enters the weight room is required to check in at the desk. When checking in give your Student I.D to the staff member at the desk. He/She will hold your I.D at the desk until you decide to check out. Your check in/out time are logged in on the computer. All students must have their I.D with them to enter the weight room. You must also have the current Rules and Regulations sticker on it to use the facility. NO EXCEPTIONS! While working out, it is your responsibility to wipe down your machine or area when you are finished with it. Students also need to re-rack their weights when they are finished. Students who fail to respect the machines, other students, staff or rules will be asked to leave and may suffer other consequences according to the NHCC Student Code of Conduct.
4 Gym Rules Only currently enrolled students w/sticker are allowed to enter the gym. Only students with non-marking shoes will be able to use the gym. When entering the gym please check in with the staff member at the desk. You will need to have your Student I.D with the Rules and Regulations sticker on it. NO EXCEPTIONS While in the gym please be courteous of others. Horse play, swearing, fighting and other reckless behavior will not be tolerated and will be subject to the NHCC Student Code of Conduct. Gym activities will follow the schedule posted. Slots labeled Open Gym are open to all activities, otherwise please follow the schedule. In addition, there is no food or drink allowed in the gym. There will also be as no spectators.
5 Dance Studio The Dance Studio is able to be used by Student Groups only. If your group is registered through the Student Life Department you may use the studio. See Kevin in HWC 165 to set up a time and sign in. While in the dance studio, the blinds must remain open at all times.
6 Lockers In order to obtain a locker please see Kevin Manson in HWC 165. You will need your Student I.D to get a locker. All locker room lockers have built in locks. During the semester please remember to wash your clothes on a regular basis. Showers are also available to use in the locker rooms. Please reduce the risk of theft by securely locking your locker every time you walk away from it. NHCC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. At the end of the semester, all students must clean and remove everything from their locker. Anything that is left is donated to charity once the semester ends. If you would rather have a temporary locker, temporary lockers can be checked out at the weight room desk. You will need to give your Student I.D in exchange for a key. You will also need to sign for the locker on the temporary locker sign out sheet.
7 Intramurals and Club Sports Please pay attention around campus and in the HWC for information regarding signup deadlines and other important information. Sports and Recreation offers a variety of different opportunities to everyone. CLUB SPORTS Outdoor Soccer (Fall) Flag Football (Fall) Hockey (Spring) INTRAMURALS Basketball Volleyball Badminton Ping Pong And more!

9 Taking the Quiz The short, ten question quiz covering the rules and regulations of the Sports and Recreation Department can be found on the Sports and Recreation D2L page. Log on to D2L to access the quiz and powerpoint 1) Log In 2) Click Resources Self Registration at the top of the page 3) Click Sports and Recreation, follow the prompts 4) Once in the Sports and Recreation Course, you should be able to access the quiz under assessments and the powerpoint. You will need to score 100% to receive your sticker. You can pick up your sticker in HWC 165.
