1 Group Exercise Class Descriptions Spring 2019 TRX (Julie K): Our TRX Suspension class offers a full-body challenge. TRX is a total body exercise system that leverages gravity and your body weight to perform a wide variety of exercises. Developed by the Navy SEALS, this workout routine develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability- all essential for a healthier lifestyle. By varying your body position while in a suspended position, you control how challenging the workout can be. Women Lifting Up (Annabelle D and Allie Z) We have heard from women-identified students that the strength theater (aka the pit), platforms, and racks, among other areas of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center(SRWC), are often experienced as unwelcoming spaces for women. We hope that the Women Lifting Up initiative will help build a community of women who can lift or work out together and foster body-positive confidence claiming rightful space in the SRWC! Starting on February 4, 2019, Women Lifting Up will be part of the group exercise schedule. Velocity Boot Camp (Tyler J and Allie Z) Taught by certified personal trainers, this High Intensity class will be sure to challenge all major muscle groups to the point of fatigue. Using unique equipment like battle ropes, TRX, plyo-boxes, kettlebells and more, be ready to move hard and fast in this ultimate boot camp!

2 Aqua Circuit (Nicole S. & Cortney C.): Join me at Albee Pool for a unique workout experience that works on both strength and cardio. This class is available for ALL swim levels and has shallow and deep water exercises that will work all major muscle groups. Cardio Dance (Adrianna M.): Who says a good time and a workout don t mix? Cardio Dance is a high-intensity cardio workout that targets stamina, endurance as well as the incorporation of some core and glute workouts. Come get physical while dancing and listening to all the latest chart topper--it is a clast and a half! No previous dance experience to join, just bring your energy! Glutes, Core & More (Kate D.): Work your core and glutes in this dynamic class using a variety of equipment. You will strengthen and define your midsection though cardio, strength, and body weight exercises. Designed for all levels of fitness. Functional Fuel (Belville): This group exercise class is led by a former United States Army Ranger and a Doctor of Chiropractic. These two individuals will be bringing the fuel to your workout fire. This class will be a combination of mobilization patterns- lunges, squats, upper body push and pull, rotary core, jumping, and sprinting. This class will help the student reach their ultimate movement goal.

3 H.I.I.T. Fusion(Mandy P.): A high intensity interval class that fuses speed, strength, cardio, and agility based drills. This 45 minute circuit style class is fast paced, get your heart pumping and challenge all major muscle groups. All fitness levels welcomed! Beginner Yoga (Baylee F.): This beginner class will provide the proper body alignment on essential yoga poses, as well as have body adjustments done by the instructor. Either a beginner or intermediate student wanting to learn the yoga basics and correct for, this IS for you! Intermediate Yoga (Baylee F.): This vinyasa yoga flow is for students who are familiar with the essential yoga poses and form, and would like to dive a little bit deeper into more difficult poses. Going through poses at a faster pace, this class is perfect for students looking for a more challenging practice. Spin (Jessa H.): Spin is a fun and exciting way to sweat. Within the 45 minute class, we bike through 8 different songs while doing different moves on the bike. This classes uses color training, so the focus is getting your bike to light up in the recommended color. It s even more fun if you bring a few friends along to ride beside you. Night Yoga (Baylee F.): Relax and unwind with Night Yoga! End your day with a yoga flow that focuses on peace and relaxation.

4 Spin & Strength (Emily K.): Spin and Strength give you an amazing escape as well as challenging the body while also providing some relaxation to the mind. The ride takes you up challenging climbs and heart racing descents. This class also engages your upper body by using light weights. Kettlebell Knockout (Teresa B.) A high intensity, full body workout. This class will be interval training alternating upper and lower body exercises. No kettlebell experience is needed. HIIT (Rachel W.): High intensity interval training is a quick, full body workout that includes both strength and cardio. Butts & Gutts (Rachel W.): In this class, we will focus on moves that work the glutes and leg muscles by using body weight exercises, steps, bands and hand weights. The class ends with a focus on core strength using body weight exercises and hand weights. Killer Upper Body (Rachel W.):

5 In this class, we will focus working the chest, back, arms, shoulders and abs by using different body weight. In addition the exercises will incorporate bands and hand weights. Yoga Strength (Mariah C.): Wake up on the right side of the bed with an exhilarating morning yoga class! Yoga strength is designed to build and engage your core while moving through a vinyasa flow. Weights may be incorporated to further challenge your balance and core strength. Full Body Blast (Rachael C.): Full Body Blast is a fun hour long class designed to incorporate your entire body into the workout. Each workout is a little bit different to keep it new and exciting each time. No experience is needed, all levels are welcomed. Sunrise Yoga (Haley D.): Start your day the right way with Sunrise Yoga! This class incorporates simple flowing sequences to invigorate your mind and body. You ll leave this class ready to enter the rest of your day with vitality and serenity. Align and Flow Yoga (Haley D.): During this class we will focus on fundamental yoga poses that make up a well-rounded practice! We ll pay attention to our alignment, strength, balance, flexibility all while warming up the mind and body though flowing sequences. You ll leave this class feeling relaxed and grounded. HIIT Yoga (Haley D.): This class is designed to challenge and relax you with a mix of high intensity interval training and yoga. During this class we will work thought HIIT exercises that train your cardio and strength, while also incorporating yoga poses to relax your mind and body. This class is great if you like to try new things and even better when you bring a friend.

6 Core Strength Yoga (Sydney F.): Core Strength Yoga is a fitness class that incorporates the techniques and poses of yoga with an emphasis on improving core strength. This class works on improving balance, flexibility, core strength and staying present and in the moment. HardCORE Spin (Sam): A 30 minute spin workout improving muscular strength and endurance as well as cardiorespiratory health. The spin workout is followed by a 15 minute series of ab exercises. Strike (Issac Q.): A high energy, fun, and challenging class with a focus on striking to kick calories. A great way to relieve stress, get sweaty, and increase confidence. No experience necessary! Come ready to kick butt. Strike Skills (Issac Q.): Want to take your striking skills to the next level? Come to Strike Skills to increase your knowledge, technique, speed, and power for your punches and kicks.

7 Titan Strength and Power (Nolan F): Titan Strength and Power is an intermediate to advanced class held twice a week that will equip its participants with the proper knowledge to execute compound and fundamental lifts. This class will incorporate the strength platforms located in the SRWC Weight Theatre to teach participants the essentials of strength training. TSP will improve overall strength and power for everything from everyday life to athletic performance
