1 Parents, I would like to welcome you into or back to the McMath Tigers Athletics Program. As the school year approaches, your child will have many chances to have fun, learn and be successful in a variety of activities, sports, clubs, and organizations here at McMath Middle School. We, as a coaching staff, look forward to working with your child during this school year. We have very high expectations for your child who will be representing you and McMath Middle School. We plan on enriching their middle school experience through a quality education; teaching proper work habits and competition. We will count on your support in many areas throughout the year. We need parent involvement to get the athletes to and from practice, pick up athletes after they return to McMath after games and activities, help work and stock concession stand for games this year, and to assist in other athletic events (7-on-7 etc). Your child will need your support to purchase items for this season. They will have the opportunity to purchase t- shirts, shorts, socks, and sweat suits from the school. They will also need to have cleats/spikes for outdoor practice and sneakers/tennis shoes for indoor work outs and practice. Any incoming 7th grader must have a physical before the start of the school year to be able to compete for McMath. Physical forms can be printed from the McMath web page and the district athletic page. Physicals can come from your Family doctor, Care Now ( ) or Denton Family Health Care ( ), or Minor Emergency of Denton We also ask that your athlete come to fall camp in shape. Working out can be done at Game-on , 24 hour fitness, or with a weight/running work-out the house. Feel free to contact us about anything if any questions come up.
