The Youth Center Chili Cook-Off for Every-15-Minutes (Lions Event) Saturday Nov. 10 The inaugural Chili Cook-Off is schedule for Nov. 10 at The Youth Center. Proceeds from this event will support the Every 15 Minutes program that saves lives in our community. Cost to enter the chili cook-off is $20 and includes tasting, a live trivia contest and two drinks. Prizes are 1st Place - $100, 2nd Place - $50 and 3rd Place - $25. Chili must be submitted between 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. the day of the contest with a clever name (not contestant's name), and must be brought in a slow cooker. Tasting begins at 2:45 p.m. with awards given out at 3:10 p.m. For attendees not submitting a chili entry, cost is $25 for adults (includes chili tasting, the live trivia contest and two drinks). 4 Eisenhower Park November 11th - 1pm It's that time of year again, that we request the Young Marines to help assist with the annual Veterans Day at Eisenhower Park in Seal Beach, the time has change this year starting at 1:00-200pm. This year the Seal Beach Lions and Grace Community Church, American Legion post 857 and Veterans of Foreign Wars post Will be hosting this event. Thank you, Art Fry THANKSGIVING DINNER November 22nd 11am - 1pm St. Anne's Church The Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce will once again provide a full thanksgiving meal for people in our community who can not be with family for the holiday. Last year over 20 local businesses cook all the trimmings for this amazing meal for free. We served 140 people last year with 32 volunteers. The Seal Beach Lions Club will be helping bring

5 this very important tradition to our community. We have been asked to provide drivers, to and from Leisure World (about 4) people. We also need help with welcoming, seating and serving the meal. This event is scheduled so that we may serve those who are not with their family and then we can celebrate the holiday with our own families. Please contact Lion Laura Ellsworth to volunteer.
