President s Pen Jonathan Olmstead of Trane has arranged for an exciting and popular event for our February meeting, a private tour of the Heavy Seas Brewery on Tuesday February 7 th. Please see details on this event elsewhere in this newsletter and be sure to sign up early. The tour is limited to 80 people and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Many thanks to Past President Tyler Lee, current Board Member Jeff Shook, Reception Committee Co- Chair Matt Lewis, and everyone else at Chesapeake Systems for sponsoring our Networking Hour at our January Meeting. Thanks again to Chesapeake Systems for arranging to have Peter Wolff of Armstrong Fluid Technologies present on Optimization in Water Pumping Systems. This Technical Session was well attended and a benefit for our members. What can I say about our Main Meeting last month? For starters, Jen Leach presented. Jen is an ASHRAE Baltimore Chapter jewel. She is a Past President of the Chapter and serves ASHRAE on the national society level. The Topic presented, Engineering Ethics Case Studies to test your Ethics IQ, is important for everyone in our industry. If you missed this presentation, you definitely missed out. Thanks again Jen for all you do to serve our Chapter and our society. Our Chapter Nominating Committee will soon be offering up a slate of candidates for our Board for next year. If you are interested in serving, or know of someone who would be interested in serving our Chapter, please let me or any other Board member know. We have many areas where your services to our Chapter are needed and will be appreciated. Sam Phillip of JMT and Rob Broczkowski of Mueller Associates Inc. are once again representing our Chapter with activities at the Engineering Society of Baltimore during Engineers Week February 20 th through the 25 th. Rob and Sam can always use help. Please reach out to them if you are interested in helping out with the many activities they provide in service to our Chapter. See you at Heavy Seas on February 7 th!! Dave Reese
