FPRINTS Website: wwwquentinridingclubcom QRC QuentinRidingClub@comcastnet QRC Phone: (717) $50 & $100 Annual Dues for Your Membership Not Just a Riding Club No Monthly Minimums No Monthly Assessments Dear Members of the Quentin Riding Club, Hopefully by now you have read the letter that was to be mailed about our current financial status and possibly you have viewed the news clip that was aired about our Club on WGAL I d like to assure you that NO BOARD MEMBER made a call to ANY media We were all surprised by the call Anyone could have gone to the Treasurer s Office and obtained information about the Quentin Riding Club s situation! Once the call was made to us, a decision was made for our new member, Tom Burton to talk to WGAL, since he would be a good person for this subject, having more experience than some of us People say they were shocked hearing that there was a possibility from the media first, but that was not our intention at all about the clubs possible closing During the Month of January a letter was sent out to the membership and a meeting was held on January 31, 2018 at 7:30 pm In that letter, it stated that the 2016 and 2017 Real Estate Taxes had not been paid There have been a lot of other things that need to be paid also There is a water leak in the outside bathrooms, there s complains about the grounds looking terrible and they do, but there is no money coming in to take care of things right now! There is a lot that needs to be addressed, but this is the most important! Our taxes that are due by September 10th are $52,21732 As of July 1, 2018 Additional bureau costs have started to accumulate, until the full payment is received The approximate amount will be $27500 per day That is $19,80026 added to the original tax amount The posting and personal service by the Sheriff s Department has begun August 8, 2018 The newspaper ad will appear in the Daily News, The Merchandisers, and also in the Lebanon County Legal Journal September 10, 2018 The tentative day of the sale, the offices will be open to take full payments until 12:00 Noon to remove the QRC from the sale JULY 2018 Watch For More Saturday Events Every Month!! Not enough support from our members was the main reason, even though there were some members that truly tried to help our club For example, an article was put in the newsletter about starting up the Bit N Spur Ladies a few months back and there were signs also posted all over the club for the first meeting, but only two ladies showed up! Now how do you try to run anything with just two volunteers! We need your help volunteering, and then we can do such things like a Fashion Show, Beef, Fish & Beer Night, a Golf Tournament, etc FRIDAY'S Open to the Public & Karaoke

2 We have been trying to run fundraisers and have various activities to keep the flow of business running here at the club, with not much response of our members Also, a few months back we had an article in the newsletter asking for your help again, both financially and physically with a Bakeless Bakesale and only ONE member gave to itthat s embarrassing! It s a No Brainer that if the 2016 and 2017 taxes are not paid there will be a sale and yes, now it s on the records! WE ARE ASKING THE MEMBERSHIPS HELP FINANCIALLY PLEASE DO NOT LET THE CLUB GO UP FOR SALE ON SEPTEMBER 10TH! Back in February at our first 2018 Board Meeting I gave a $10000 to set up a special savings account to pay these taxes Let s get them paid now! To get the Tax Fund Financial Help started, I am going to be the first to announce that I will commit $3,000 toward the taxes It is a gift of $1,000 each in Donald (Tony) Books, Lois Books and my husband, Barry L Books names Please also help out!
