During this time, I conducted a literature review of the existing research on how perspectives on death and dying might be shaping lifestyles. This project is on-going. Williams, K., Mathias, S. March June Alzheimer s Needs A Dance. Media research done under the guidance of Professor Keller, Dean of LDC. Dance therapy improves cognitive skills, motivation, and memory by developing new neural connections in the brain, especially in regions involving the executive function, long-term memory, and spatial recognition. This instruction provides techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, pain and depression, includes exercises for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance, medication management, nutrition information and approaches for improving communication with family, friends and health care professionals. PEARLS Counselor March Present The PEARLS (Program to Encourage Active Rewarding LiveS) is a no cost in-home counseling program offered by the Aging and Disabilities Resource Connection. PEARLS help s people better manage their lives and find solutions to problems that make them feel down and discouraged. Skills are taught to manage unpleasant feelings and improve people s quality of life by offering a process to help identify and solve problems that interfere with happiness. This program is focused on the Here and Now starting at the present and moving forward with changes.

Community/Volunteer Service National Science Foundation EvalFest is a NSF-funded community of practitioners, evaluation professionals and researchers that help science festivals understand and explain their impact on the general public, K-12 students, science professionals and communities. EvalFest is also a research project that evaluates science festival outcomes. Festivals also achieve STEM learning and inspire attendees to learn more. I participated on September 23, 2017 by conducting surveys, entering data, and collecting signatures. Recruited by Dr. John Taylor to participate as an evaluator for this research at the Rogue Valley Mini Maker Science Faire. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Provides a powerful voice for abused and neglected children by being their voice in the court room. I distributed information, raised awareness, and raised money by making and selling Cake Pops with 4 other people in a class project. Our team earned over $2000 during Winter Term 2017 in Social Psychology under the direction of Dr. Emily Reeder. Snohomish County Council Appointment to Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Responsible for recommending awards from the City s Lodging Tax Account, a fund created through tax on hotel, motel or bed and breakfast stays. These funds can be used to support projects for tourism, event operations and for marketing. Served on interim basis from April September 2009 while managing a Seattle area hotel.
