Ian Foxley, Business Development Director for Vemotion Interactive. Ian gave a very informative presentation on Vemotion and the pilot scheme that has to work with SCT. Vemotion are specialists in wireless video transmission, encoding and streaming live video over low bitrate networks such as wireless GSM/GPRS and Vemotion Interactive Ltd was established in 2004 and has been developing low bandwidth video solutions since Using this product will enable remote doctors and take advantage of wireless transmission, capturing live video, using mobile networks, satellite and broadband. Multiple users can then view those video feeds, simultan remote and mobile locations on laptops, PDAs, Blackberrys and mobile phones. This enables a live video link between medical staff and expert consultant support and a with wireless video transmission to capture live video and transmit from almost any location around the world without investing in costly infrastructure or equipment e possibilities for remote telehealth to the edge of current technological innovation. April 2013 New Clinic Opening Char Bhanjyang Centre for Health (Swinfen House) was officially opened by Lord and Lady Swinfen on the 3rd April The project to build a new medical clinic is a fi Charitable Trust that began in September Through the hard work and dedication of the Khalte villagers, villagers from surround areas, Gurkha community in the U forgetting the kind donors of the Swinfen Charitable Trust the building is now complete and has opened its doors to treat the sick and needy from all around. Part time place and basic medical equipment has been provided, however this is a growing project to which the Swinfen Charitable Trust will continue to support and hope that o

Other distinguished Ambassador of Nepal His Excellency and Mrs Dr Sureshchandra Chalise, Major and Mrs Thomas (The Cairns Foundation), Hon. Lt and Mrs Chandra Bahadur Gurung.

A BIG Thank you to all our volunteers and to those who came along to support the trust and helped to raise lots of f October 2012 Great South Run 2012 Well done to the Great South Run 2012 Team for completing the 10 mile race on 28th October. The day was such a cold and bitter one but fun was had by all. 4 June 2012 GOOD NEWS FOR LAMB HOSPITAL. Dr. Steve Coates, an SCT Consultant in clinical Neurophysiology, will be meeting with Dr. Louise Day of the Lamb Hospital in Dinajpur North West Bangladesh in July to portable EEG machine, which he has kindly donated, and will train her in its use. Dr. Day will then return to Lamb Hospital with the EEG machine to train two nurses. April 2012 Lord Swinfen chaired a joint meeting of the African All Party Parliamentary Group and African UK Diaspora on Telemedicine in Africa. The principal speaker was Lord Cr of the NHS and permanent secretary at the Department of Health May 2012 The Swinfen Charitable Trust held a reception at the House of Lords to Thank all who have supported the Trust. Lord Swinfen, Director of The Swinfen Charitable Trust April 2012 Dr Pietroni and his wife have both been offering their medical services for 15 years in Bangladesh but will be leaving the country this summer. They have been using ou 2000 and would like to thank everyone for their help and advice in treating their patients, "The Swinfen Charitable Trust is a wonderful thing". Dr M Pietroni & Dr T Piet Congratulations to Dr Peter Buxton who has recently been promoted to Surgeon Commodore RN and now commands the Defence Medical Group. He has also HONORARY PHYSICIAN to the H.M the Queen. Dr Buxton has been a part of The Swinfen Charitable Trust from the very beginning as an advisor and a medical consultan

5 very grateful. A kind message from a very brave and hard working Iraqi doctor January 2012 Lord and Lady Swinfen along with his Excellency Dr Sureshchandra Chalise (The Ambassador of Nepal) attended an annual dinner in aid of the Char Bhanjyan development project in Nepal.

6 The 2011 Great South Run Team were also at the dinner. Due to the interest of this popular event the 2012 team has increased.
