4 What we did in the past separate departments training alumnae volunteers separate dates & times for training separate sets of information

5 Why we decided on a change cost many volunteers have dual roles consistency of message and training all volunteers having same information provide bigger message about Smith today engage and inspire volunteers broaden message about our campaign

6 What we worried about interest keynote speaker role-specific training programming that would be work for all banquet space consistent communication from all departments faculty/ administrators availability how to involve students cost

8 Program What we need our volunteers to know

9 Goals for the conference 1. bring together alumnae volunteers and share the president s vision for Smith 2. give all volunteers information on Smith TODAY so they can communicate this to other volunteers and alumnae 3. honor volunteer award winner and thank all volunteers for their service

10 What we want every volunteer to know who is the Smithie of today what makes Smith unique affordability and access leadership initiatives commitment to diversity and inclusion why we need a new library what happens now the campaign is over
