2 Friends of Dulwich, the parent organization, warmly welcomes you to our school! 3 *SOCIAL EVENTS* Coffee Mornings KS2 (LG) KS3 (LG) A chance for parents old and new to chat and catch up at our regular coffee mornings Early Years (Riviera Main Campus Library) Newcomers Coffee 21 st August, am Junior School (Legend Garden) Newcomers Coffee Morning 27 th August, am KS 3 (Legend Garden) Coffee Morning October (date to be confirmed) For further dates, see the Calendar of Friends Events on the Friends pages of the school website Welcome Back Barbecue A relaxed evening BBQ to start the term Join us on Friday 22 nd August for an evening mingling with other families. Newcomers and veterans are all welcome! Connections Lunches Regular lunches at different locations haiying30@hotmail.com Our first connections lunch is on Friday 29 th August a great way of meeting and connecting; bringing old and new parents together Taking place at different locations they may include a keynote speaker on a variety of topics Culture Club Explore Beijing! margaretseiche@hotmail.com A great way to get out and about in Beijing with other Dulwich parents who share similar interests e.g. hiking in the countryside, cooking lessons, art gallery visits or a trip to a local acrobatic school! While there is not currently a Culture Club Coordinator, contact Margaret for more details. Mahjong Club Join in the fun with this easy to learn game A fun way to meet other parents Mahjong is easy to learn (similar to rummy) and many of us are still learning! Every Wednesday from 1:00 3:30pm at Coffee & Books (Legend Garden Campus) Regular evening sessions rotated between homes of hospitable hosts Moonlight Madness Showcase your talents! Thursday 25 th September A fun filled family night where students, staff and parents are invited to showcase their talent. Whatever your talent - singing, dancing or magic - you can entertain the Dulwich community at this mad event! Friends helps with the fun by serving drinks and the Friends Shop (see below) will be selling some fun things for the kids

4 *FUNDRAISING FOR CHARITY AND DULWICH STUDENTS* Coffee & Books Parent-run coffee shop serving drinks and cakes 9.00 am to 3.30pm on school days Legend Garden Campus Open to all adult members of the community All profits go to charity Volunteers are always welcome! Friends Shop Parent-run shop selling stationery, cards, gifts, toys etc to 2.00 pm on school days Legend Garden Campus Open to students and parents All proceeds go to the Student Council to benefit students. Volunteers welcome! Founders Day Rounding off the school year through fun, music, sports, art, and an international food festival! The last annual event of the school year Enjoy the feast extravaganza from all of the many different cultures that make up our international community Profits split between charity and the Friends Enrichment Fund (for Dulwich students) Friends Dinner Dance A night of fun and sophistication for parents and staff Viva la Fiesta on Saturday 22 November A great social event for our community and charity fundraiser rolled into one so get out your dancing shoes! Why not volunteer to help organise this event? Mobile Coffee Shop Supporting Dulwich sports nrbddk@yahoo.com Operated at major Dulwich sports tournaments to provide refreshments for athletes, coaches, and spectators All profits are donated to charity Charity Committee Support the community in decisions regarding allocation of charity funds which make a real difference All volunteers are welcome!
