2 Dresden will be hit hard this year as we didn t pay attention to the fields due to various conflicting issues. Less money was spent of fuel due to the lack of focus on Dresden. $ spent on fuel this year Paying for fuel establishes good relationships with DIF&W and allows us to mow as much as we want. We also took over the Wood Duck box project from the DIF&W and Jason Carter has been leading this project. Duck project 58 boxes cleaned. February 1 st is the date for cleaning this year. 213 hours spent in the fields this year and Bob Brey recognized by the State for his efforts. Correspondence: Nikki Dodge sent us a donation from Spinone Only club of $300. Crystal Lake Fishing Derby scheduled for January 25, Phippsburg Fun Day January 12, 2014 starts at 9:00am. Southern New England Handlers Clinic April 26-27, 2014 Old Business: Continued work on Chapter website. Thanks go out to Nancy, Mark and Judie for their continued work on the website and getting the message out to our members quickly. New Business: Training clinics suggestion by Blaine to have 2 birds per dog for field use during clinics. Remedial training can be provided on a one on one basis. During our clinics no one should be waiting to be instructed to train your dogs. If you have an issue that you want to address, bring it up and someone will work with you during the clinic. Discussion on Chapter Training Clinic sign-up forms. Minimum purchase on triplicate forms. Suggestion to check with other chapters to see if some of the cost can be offset. Suggestion to use 2 people to assist during clinic sign-up. Pre-test clinics discussion. YC Members first priority, other Chapter Member s second priority.

3 Duck Box Project scheduled for February 1, 2014 and Jason Carter has plenty of snow shoes if needed. Thanks to Betty Blackman getting the Facebook Page setup. Jason Carter and Blaine created training videos and are being posted on the Facebook Page. Bird trailer needs help. We need a new bird trailer as the old one is falling apart. Looking for a committee to research the purchased of a new trailer and create a bird trailer. Volunteers Andy Baker, Bob England, Blaine Carter and Bill Tracy. Trailer prices will be provided to Patti and a vote will go out to the Board for approval. David Trahan provided information on the National Annual Meeting is being hosted by Merrimac Chapter on February 7 9, The 4 Maine Chapters rotate the Handlers Clinic. This year YC has the opportunity to run one and more information will be provided via the newsletter. Test prep workshop on for June 1 st. Bubba Days will move to every other year. Looking for a volunteer to coordinate the events for Betty Blackman will lead. A motion was made by Bill Tracy to authorize fuel money for the field crew. Motion by Bill Tracy 2 nd by Tom Barks David Trahan discussed the possibilities of the Chapter authorizing money for new kayak. Motion to Approve by Bill Tracy 2 nd by Betty Blackman Motion Passed Dickie Lemont Derby at Phippsburg Sportsman Association will be held in February Bob Brey would like the chapter to provide a donation. Motion to donate $500 from the General Fund was voted and did not pass. Motion to keep the donation at the same donation as last year of $300 and to come out of the Kenny King Fund was moved by Blaine Carter and 2 nd by Betty Blackman. This was passed by majority of members. Patti read the motions and items of discussions for the National Annual Meeting.
