President s Corner April was a very exciting month! Not only did the weather finally cooperate, but Regional Conference was full of information and renewing friendships. There will be a Special Edition of the newsletter dedicated just to the 2018 Regional Conference held at Ann Arbor, MI. April also brought Raintree Chapter more new members! In fact, at the meeting on Thursday, we will be installing 5 new members!!!!! The Spring Recruitment campaign runs through May 31. Invite someone to Thursday s meeting and share in the excitement of belonging to Raintree Chapter!! RAINTREE CHAPTER GOALS Increase membership by 11 new members 2. Strive to have at least 60% of membership attend monthly meetings
3 Raintree Rambler Secretary s Report The meeting was called to order at 5:55 pm by Vice President Renae Gawith. Present were 8 members and 3 guests. Members: Pam Chaney, Mary Cordle, Pauline Hasty, Dawn Pokorny, Cheryl Blair, Jackie Brayton, Denise McKee and Renae Gawith Guests: Janet Johnson, guest of Shirley New; Miranda Spencer and Joy Hinshaw, guests of Elaine Study Officers Elaine Study, Shirley New and Peggy Miller were attending Regional Conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Invocation and Pledge were led by Mary Cordle. Networking led by Dawn Pokorny Each person had to choose their favorite color M&M. Each color was a question that they had to answer about themselves. Program Health in the Workplace presented by Joy Hinshaw. Joy shared ways to stay active April 19, 2018 COMMITTEE REPORTS The Newsletter committee requests that items for the newsletter be submitted by the first weekend of the month. Business Associate's June Meeting. Jackie passed out Associate nomination forms. They are due at the May meeting. Cost is $12 for the June 21 st event. Top 10 Candidate Renae announced Shirley is the only Raintree member who qualifies as a Top 10 Candidate. She would be willing to accept the nomination only if Raintree does not pay for her registration, only the luncheon. Jackie moved and Pauline seconded that Shirley New is the Raintree Top 10 Candidate and we will only pay for the Top 10 luncheon. Motion passed. May 2018 Vol. 54 Issue 10 meeting when members will vote for the Raintree Council Woman of the Year nominee. New Business Suggestions for membership growth. Renae passed out a list of suggestions for membership growth. We are to select our top choices and bring the list to the May meeting. Member Updates and Announcements Birthdays: April Shirley on 18 th, Cheryl on the 28 th. May: Jackie on the 16 th. Melba on the 28 th. Anniversaries: April Sharon- 32 years; Shirley- 36 years; Jessica-5 years. May: none Donation $12.50 Next meeting: Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the New Castle-Henry County Library, 6:00 pm. The Benediction was led by Pam Chaney The meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm. and eat healthy in the workplace. The March Secretary s Report was accepted as printed in the newsletter. The March Treasurer s Report was accepted as distributed then filed for audit. Cardinal Crossroads Council Mary announced that the next Cardinal Crossroads Council meeting is Saturday, April 28 th. All are welcome and should RSVP to Peggy Miller by Monday, April 23 rd. Mary also distributed the Council Woman of the Year forms which are to be completed only by members who have attended council meetings. The forms are to be returned at the May Respectfully submitted by Mary Cordle, acting secretary
