2 Mission Statement The Arizona Coyotes Foundation seeks to enhance the quality of life throughout Arizona communities by supporting non-profit organizations that promote healthcare, education and cultural arts programs for children and service men and women. We are dedicated to health and wellness programs that stimulate the growth of youth sports and financially supporting programs that encourage teamwork skills while building future leaders in our community. 3 Letter from CEO and Foundation Chairman Dear Coyotes Fans and Friends: As we enter our 19th season of NHL hockey in the State of Arizona, we understand that our organization has a unique opportunity to affect positive change within our community. We are very proud of the accomplishments of the Arizona Coyotes Foundation during our season. We donated $530,000 in cash to 76 different organizations in the state that work with children and service men and women in the areas of sports, health, arts and education. We understand that everything we do can be done better together with other likeminded companies and individuals. Without the Foundation s financial support, middle and high-school students across Arizona would not have had the opportunity to participate in Veterans Heritage Project s (VHP) immersive educational experience that connects them with our country s heroes. The oral history experience and invaluable lessons learned from our veterans will set our students apart as they pursue their dreams for higher education, business, public office and volunteerism. They now have higher expectations of themselves and understand accountability. Your support also helped VHP students honor our veterans through both word -- by publishing their stories for archiving in the Library of Congress, and deed - by celebrating their service through community service and civic events. They support us financially through their grant, invite us to participate in their 50/50 raffle which is so much fun for our team, supply us with Arizona Coyotes swag for raffles prizes and for our kids as giveaways, visit our schools and participate in our Prosforplayworks sweepstakes with Goalie Mike Smith as our spokesperson. We consider the Arizona Coyotes organization as one of our major partners fueling our growth and we love working with them. They truly care about making a difference in the community! 7 Fundr aising Golf Tournament A beautiful day at the golf course was shared by fans and sponsors as our annual Golf Classic took place on November 18, 2013 at Troon North in Scottsdale and raised over $94,000. Celebrity Waiters Gala This highly anticipated and sold-out event took place on February 5, 2014 and raised over $144,000. Our fans and sponsors had the opportunity to be waited on by a member of the team and enjoyed a beautiful meal at Fleming s restaurant in the West Valley. Auctions Our silent auctions generated $72,000 for the Arizona Coyotes Foundation. Highlights included our Military Jersey auction, team-themed wood carvings and team signed jerseys. 50/50 Raffle This highly popular raffle raised $209,000 this year. We were proud to host 41 non-profit organizations who raised monies for their organizations while promoting their mission. Bench Raffle We are lucky to have the wood carving works of Mark Wold (a season ticket holder) who creates wonderful pieces to use for our auctions. We auctioned off a beautiful team signed bench which raised over $3,000. Scoreboard Messages/Zamboni Rides Fans are able to donate to the Arizona Coyotes Foundation by purchasing a scoreboard message or a Zamboni ride during any home game. These two fan favorites raised over $8,000. 5
