2 Our Foundation The Byford Bushrangers have been in existence since the 1980 s with the club originally called North Murray Tee-Ball. The name was changed in 2003 to North Murray Diamond Sports which incorporated the introduction of baseball and softball as well as participating in the Tee-ball Association of WA (TBAWA) s State Championships from In 2016, due to changes in Perth and the idea of "North Murray" being not reflective of the club s region, the committee agreed to change the name to Byford Bushrangers Inc. In 1981 the club had 14 tee-ball teams with membership peaking at over 300 members between 1990 and 2000 but over time the number of registered players had declined due to increased variety of sports introduced into the area with the club becoming inactive in In 2014 the club was reborn and Byford Bushrangers had its first season in 4 years with 10 teams, introduction of Toddler Tee-ball and then returning to the TBAWA State Championships in The population in the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale is increasing at a rapid rate due to continuous major development work. It is anticipated over the next few years the number of players will increase and the club will see the return of baseball, softball as well as the introduction of machine pitch. 2 P a g e

The plan sets out the main priorities that the Byford Bushrangers will pursue during the next three years to ensure diamond sports continues to develop and grow into the future. Our Mission Our aim is to provide a fun, safe, enjoyable environment for families that encourages all participants to develop their fundamental skills no matter what their aspirations may be. 3 P a g e

4 Strategic Direction In the development of this plan, Byford Bushrangers has used the SMART approach to undertake a sensible assessment of the organisation s capability, capacity, expertise and resources to develop and achieve a set of realistic strategic objectives. The assessment has been undertaken not to lower expectations but to ensure that Byford Bushrangers, its members and the sport of teeball, baseball and softball is able to get the best results from the efforts expended. The plan presented sets out the strategic direction of Byford Bushrangers for a three year horizon. The Byford Bushrangers plan focuses on five key strategic objectives. These are: Maintain and increase registrations each year. Improve profile and visibility of the club. Expand our offer of diamond sports beyond tee-ball. Attract and retain Volunteers.
