SELF-ASSESSMENT MODULES (SAMS) Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in daily self-assessment modules (SAMs) during the course. The self-assessment modules meet the standards of the American Board of Radiology. (ABR) SAM credits are required for radiologists certified since 2002.
3 OVERVIEW AND TARGET AUDIENCE NEURORADIOLOGY IS RAPIDLY EXPANDING INTO INDIVIDUALIZED PATIENT CARE, making radiologists more active members of the health care delivery team of today. This course will feature didactic educational sessions which address day-to-day problem-solving in our reading rooms and their translation into effective patient care. The content will also include case-based and self-assessment sessions. Our comprehensive program is designed for general radiologists, neuroradiologists, trainees, and nuclear medicine physicians. It may also be of interest to ENT surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and oncologists. The course will focus on anatomy, physiology and pathology of the head and neck, skull base, cranial nerves, central nervous system, vasculature, and spine. Focused sessions include: Applications and interpretation of advanced imaging techniques to help diagnose and treat skull base pathology The expanding role of neuroradiologists in preoperative mapping of brain and neck neoplasias to determine surgical candidacy and appropriate treatments Emergency room triage for CNS and neck urgencies Evaluation of CNS diseases including inflammation, infection, and neurodegenerative disorders Imaging gently to create a safe and quality environment for neurodiagnosis and neurointervention

7 ACCOMMODATIONS CABO SAN LUCAS AND SAN JOSE DEL CABO Located on the southern tip of Mexico s Baja Peninsula, this area is reported to have the perfect climate. Los Cabos is known for its beaches, water-based activities, championship golf courses and nightlife. Cabo San Lucas, the Main Town is the entertainment hub of Cabo. The famous arch, El Arco, is located here. San Jose del Cabo, known as the Old Town is nearest to the airport and about 14 miles from our meeting hotel. Many of the old homes in this charming town have been converted into stylish restaurants, galleries and shops. The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Resort is located just six miles from Cabo San Lucas. The hotel takes advantage of its seaside setting with furnished balconies and views of the ocean from several restaurant patios. There are eight restaurants & bars and clothing attire ranges from beachwear to resort casual. Penn Radiology has contracted a block of rooms exclusively for our meeting attendees.
