Activities as a centre of research, expertise, standardisation and dissemination of techniques within the remit of the mandate given by the OIE Disease control Title of activity Scope Preparedness Resources Develop and update foreign animal disease preparedness materials for the US Department of Agriculture; Deliver the materials online at: Secure Food Supply Projects (business continuity for the egg, turkey, milk, swine and beef industries in the U.S.) Working with leaders in each industry, academia, state and federal officials to avoid interruptions in animal product/animal movement to commercial processing from farms with no evidence of infection during a foreign animal disease outbreak. Training, capacity building Title of activity Scope Veterinary Biologics Training Program Provide an overview of the USDA regulatory process for assuring the purity, potency, safety and efficacy of veterinary biologics. Held May 15-19, there were 165 total attendees including 33 international representatives from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, New Zeeland, Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore Veterinary Immunology and Vaccinology online training The IICAB offers 3 online courses related to veterinary immunology and vaccinology. There were 107 total users from 12 countries (Brazil 2; Australia 5; Belgium 2; Spain 4; Colombia 1; UK 1; Poland 1; Netherlands 1; Croatia 1; Russia 2; Germany 1; and the U.S. 86) Vaccines Title of activity Compendium of Veterinary Vaccines for Transboundary Animal Diseases Scope Listing of 1384 vaccines for 47 transboundary animal diseases, made by 139 manufacturers, and licensed in 149 countries.
