2 Dear Colleagues: We invite you to the 2017 International Symposium on Wearable and Rehabilitation Robotics (WeRob2017) when it will be held for the first time in the USA. The year, the symposium will expand its scope beyond wearable robots to include topics in rehabilitation robotics. As in the previous meetings, researchers and innovators from all around the world will discuss novel approaches, challenges and potential solutions in technologies for robots used in rehabilitation. This year, however, there will be an increased emphasis on the clinical applications and the complexities involved in bringing robot-assisted rehabilitation to the community. The 2017 symposium will encompass topics ranging from pediatric application of robots, recent innovations in wearable robotic technology, computational neurorehabilitation, physical human-robot interaction and interfaces, and solutions for the needs of persons with disabilities and the aging population. There will be interactive workshops with engineers, clinicians, and end-users to promote collaboration among different disciplines, and a product theater demonstrating the latest in wearable exoskeletons and rehabilitation robots. This includes all refreshment breaks, lunches, and receptions, which will be held in the exhibit areas. Exhibit Booth Application Process All potential exhibitors will need to complete the Exhibitor Agreement Form. Exhibit Booth Selection/Placement Process Exhibit booth selection and placement are on a first-come, first-serve basis based on the order the organizer receives completed exhibit application forms. The organizer reserves the right to designate booth locations, but please indicate you top 3 space preferences. Regulations Governing Exhibits 1. While every effort will be made to ensure that exhibits are secured at the symposium hotel, neither the Symposium Organizing Committee nor TIRR Memorial Hermann nor the JW Marriott Houston Downtown will assume responsibility for loss or damage to exhibits or other exhibition property. 2. Each exhibit is responsible for complying with all laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to health, fire prevention and public safety. If an inspection indicates that an exhibit is neglecting to comply with these regulations, the Symposium Organizing Committee may cancel all or some parts of a display that may be irregular at the exhibitor s expense. 3. Please note that no outside food or beverage may be served at the conference or exhibit area. All food and beverage must be purchased, prepared and served by the JW Marriott Houston Downtown in compliance with the Food Safe Handling Regulations. Please contact the conference organizers if you are planning to serve any food or beverage from the hotel. 4. The Symposium Organizing Committee reserves the right to restrict displays which, because of noise, methods of operation, materials or any other reason, have become objectionable, and to prohibit or remove any displays which, in the opinion of the Symposium Organizing Committee, detract from the general character of the symposium. 8

9 Deposit/Payment Information Payment of 50% is required within ten (10) business days of confirmed reservation to guarantee your sponsorship and/or exhibit booth location. Final payment is due within 1 month of initial payment. All payments must be in place by November 01, Placement on conference materials will not occur until payment in full is received. Cancellation Policy The exhibitor may cancel this contract provided that written notice is received by TIRR Memorial Hermann Education Academy on or before August 01, Please send notice to kirk.roden@uthealth.edu. A 25% handling fee will be charged for cancellations. For cancellations after August 1st, 2017, the organizer reserves the right to withhold the entire exhibit fee if the space is not filled by another exhibitor. Conditions and Regulations The TIRR Memorial Hermann and UTHealth Symposium Organizing Committee reserve the right to designate a sponsorship opportunity different from the preferred option or reserve the right to deny sponsorship opportunities. All funds are submitted in the form of unrestricted educational grants or as tuition bursaries. The conference program is set by planning committees and financial contributors have no influence on the content.
