26 JUSTICE MINISTRIES PARTNERSHIPS PARTNERSHIPS DEFINED, PROCESSES In order to carry out the mission of Justice Ministries (JM), JM partners with local organizations in the community that align with our focus area. JM ensures that each partnership allows for us to have relational engagement with youth. JM has several different types of partnerships and processes to develop partnerships that are explained further in the following pages. 26

27 Justice Ministries Partnerships Justice Ministries Partnership Definitions Partner Organizations: Organizations that align with FHC s justice ministries focus and have been vetted by the Justice Ministries governance team. Partner organizations may collaborate with FHC for a community service/giving event. FHC may also make a monetary donation to partner organizations. Organizations that are considered partners, will be promoted as a Justice Ministry. Partner organizations must provide opportunities for members/attenders to engage in consistently with youth. Partner organizations should provide at least 2 opportunities per year for FHC members/attenders to serve or get involved in a year and provide ongoing awareness. Partnerships will be re-evaluated each year. Example: Family Promise Adopted Organizations: Organizations that align with FHC s justice ministries focus areas. Adopted organizations become a ministry of the church and enter into a written agreement with the church. Adopted organizations receive financial oversight from the church, and the adopted organization can utilize the church s 501c3 for fundraising purposes. Adopted organizations must have a leader within the church and maintain steady volunteer opportunities. Adopted organizations should provide at least 4 opportunities per year for FHC members to volunteer. Partnerships will be re-evaluated each year. Example: From Outside In Referred to Organizations: Organizations that FHC trusts as reputable to which we refer members/attenders for volunteer opportunities that align with member/ attender interests. FHC may keep a list of trusted organizations to refer interested members/attenders. Volunteer opportunities with referred to organizations can be created on an as-needed basis. Example: Clean the World for Meet/Worship/Serve 27

For additional years of funding, a simpler grant application may be used. 30
