2 D estinyball Dear Destiny Ball Supporter, Thank you for your generous sponsorship of the 2013 American Cancer Society Destiny Ball: Journey of Hope. With your support, we were able to raise nearly $150,000 to help the American Cancer Society finish the fight against cancer! Approximately 200 guests attended the special event at the Williamsport Country Club. We were honored to be part of such an incredible evening, with such dedicated guests and sponsors coming together to raise funds to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Thanks to supporters like you, in 2013, the American Cancer Society helped cancer patients and their caregivers in Lycoming County. More than 300 patients were served with more than 1,000 services, including: 30 women who participated in local Look Good Feel Better programs 14 patients who were served with 264 rides to or from treatment through the Road To Recovery program 82 patients who received free wigs and/or hats 56 patients who received 648 nights of free lodging through our Hope Lodge program, and saved roughly $97,000 We can rejoice in the fact that so many patients in Lycoming County were helped when they needed it most. However, our work is far from done. We can never stop pushing forward and striving for a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Your support makes all the difference; we absolutely cannot finish the fight without you!
