I regularly report on progression to MinVWS. As of March 2011 the NL Minister of Health, Welfare and Sports has agreed that Hans Verhagen of RIVM is "agenda member" of the scientific committee for establishing the scientific criteria of the IKB logo, The IKB foundation now also comprises Albert Heijn as a member, as a sequel to a movement towards one logo in the NL. Time involvement: estimated 100 hours per year. Payment: none (time paid by NL ministry of health) Member of scientific evaluation commmittee proposals in teh area of "food cognition and behaviour". Time involvement: a few hours, once. No payment. Head of Risk Assessment and Scientific Assistance Department. honorary appointment as Visiting Professor "Nutrition and Toxicology". No payment. The RIVM is an agency falling under the NL Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports (MinVWS). The RIVM provides research and service for the MinVWS as well as for the NL Food Safety Authority (VWA) as well as other public domain bodies such as EU and WHO. The centre for Nutrition and Health is a.o. involved with topics like food consumption, food composition, health and nutrition claims, food fortification, novel foods, risk-benefit etc. See also: and subpages. This Netherlands activity is a combination of public and private partners (associations) aiming to get funding in order to do research and convey health messages on whole grain. No projects are running to date. Percentage of private funding reveived: 0 (nil). There is no formal ending of thsi activity. It just fades out.
