Our guests are affluent community leaders and business owners from the South Bay and beyond. They represent a sophiscated, well traveled populaon that consistently supports this event and its community outreach goal. THE RECIPIENTS Proceeds from Sunday by the Sea benefit Providence TrinityCare, one of the largest non profit hospice providers in Southern California, and the only dedicated pediatric hospice program in Los Angeles and Orange Counes. Founded in 1977, Providence TrinityCare began as a small, local service that has since evolved into a vibrant regional program with four interdisciplinary teams and a dedicated staff of more than 200. We provide a full range of palliave care, hospice care and compassionate support to paents nearing the end of life, including guidance for their families. 3 ABOUT PROVIDENCE TRINITYCARE BACKGROUND Founded in 1977, Providence TrinityCare began as a small, local service that has since evolved into a vibrant regional program with four interdisciplinary teams and a dedicated staff of more than 200, serving all of Los Angeles and Orange counes. We provide a full range of palliave care, hospice care and compassionate support to paents nearing the end of life, including guidance for their families. Since 1977, Providence TrinityCare staff has provided compassionate care and services to more than 55,000 paents and families. OUR PROGRAMS TrinityKids Care Started in 2001, TrinityKids Care remains the only dedicated pediatric hospice program in Los Angeles and Orange counes. We offer compassionate and loving care in the home for children in their final months, and help guide parents through this difficult process. To date, TrinityKids has provided services to over 2,000 children and their families. Palliave Care TrinityCare provides experse in treang the pain and symptoms of serious and life threatening illness, as well as support for the paent s family. In 2013, we opened our Palliave Care Instute, providing outpaent palliave care services as well as educang clinicians in palliave care and other post acute support services. Instute for Human Caring The Instute is a center of research, knowledge and experse in high quality care to seriously ill children and adults and their family caregivers. We offer educaonal acvies for students of medicine, nursing, social work and chaplaincy, as well as training specialists in hospice and palliave medicine. Paent Care Assistance No one is ever turned away from TrinityCare due to an inability to pay or lack of insurance. For these paents, and for those who are underinsured, the Foundaon provides assistance to make any and all of our services available. Necessies of Life Some of our paents find their financial resources exhausted by a long illness. TrinityCare assists in paying for the basic essenals for the paent and their family, including rent, phone or ulity bills, food, medical supplies and medicaons. Bereavement Support Counseling services are provided to those who have suffered the death of a loved one. Providence TrinityCare Foundaon is a 501(c)(3) non profit organizaon.
