1 RW11 Design Freeze Since mid-july the team has been diligently working on the calculations and design of RW11. We are happy to say that on October 28th we froze our CAD design for RW11! The team has worked extremely hard to make sure that RW11 will meet our ambitious goals for the season. Many improvements have been made including changing to smaller tires for increased performance, and an improved powertrain system. The CAD design and organization has been led by Frame Captain and CAD guru Brandon Horsch, and Chassis Director Richard LePage. Now that the team has frozen the design, manufacturing can begin, and soon RW11 will be roaring through the streets of Detroit! Growing the WR Family Every fall, Warrior Racing takes in a large number of new candidates hoping to join Warrior Racing. These candidates must complete a two month assignment before they can officially become full time members. This past week we had 5 candidates graduate from the process and become full time members. With two new members to the Chassis team, and 3 new members on the Powertrain team our engineering divisions look to carry a full team into competition. All five new members showed the willingness to work hard to complete their assignments, and were present at events that Warrior Racing hosted in the fall. With a few more new members on the way, Warrior Racing is looking to have a strong team for this competition season. 2 Whirlyball Fun! After completing the design freeze, the team enjoyed a fun day of Whirlyball with the American Cancer Society s Just Walk It team. The event took place at Whirlyball of Novi and had over 80 participants. Warrior Racing adviser Adam Niner organized the event as he has been doing for the past 4 years. We would like to thank Adam and ACS Just Walk It for a another successful event, we would also like to thank the Bekker family and LePage family for providing prizes, Josefs Bakery for providing pastries, and EmboridMe for providing T-Shirts to the winning team. We had a great time and look forward to working with them again next year.
