1 Dear Families of the W. R. atz chool, The Executive Board Members of the W.R. atz Parent upport Group ( PG ) welcomes you to another school year! We hope you had an enjoyable summer and are ready for what we hope will be a great experience at atz for your student whether he or she is about to start here or is returning to the school. We have been hard at work planning this year s special events, fundraisers and fun in-school activities for the students, staff and families. Your membership and support are critical to the success of our school group. Traditionally, the PG has sponsored a special Welcome Back Barbeque for the students, school assemblies, two teacher luncheons and the 8 th Grade Graduation Dinner-Dance. We have been an active group in the school and have maintained a constant presence. We have raised funds over the years and have gifted a water filtration system, various state-of-the-art classroom equipment and a digital signage media system. With your help and support, we will continue to host all of these fun activities and enhance the school in whatever way we can. For information on how to stay involved with your student s middle school experience, please visit our website: and select W.R. atz chool. We look forward to meeting new parents, reconnecting with friends and working with our excellent teaching staff and administrators. incerely, WR PG Executive Board Anissa Quirk President Terri Ferguson VP Membership ori Umbrino VP Fundraising Erika Roth VP Fundraising Darlene Kiss Corresponding ecretary Jenn Rainess Recording ecretary Purvi hah Treasurer

5 Dear W.R. atz Families, Welcome to the chool Year! We hope you had a great summer and wish you well as your student begins another academic year. We are excited to continue our mission to enhance the educational experiences of the entire student body with the many events we have planned for this year. Our wonderful volunteer base helps make these student events memorable: Welcome Back BBQ, Field Day Pizza Party and the 8th Grade Graduation Dinner-Dance. ast year, we decided to take on a most ambitious fundraising goal: to give the ife kills Room a makeover! The Culinary Arts Program at atz is a cycle class that each student takes as a 7 th and 8 th grader. We would like to give this classroom a 21 st century look and make it a more conducive learning environment for all. To help boost our fundraising efforts, we are bringing back two great fundraisers: The Harlem Wizards Basketball Game and our atz Tricky Tray Event along with a few 50/50 raffles throughout the year. For our group to reach its goal, we need your help please consider making a donation to our Annual Fundraising Campaign any amount your family can give would be greatly appreciated! All proceeds of this campaign will directly benefit all students. Here are two easy ways to contribute: Write a check made payable to W. R. atz PG c/o Annual Fundraising Campaign - OR Use PayPal by going to and click on Donate/Annual Fundraising Campaign then Donate. Please remember the PG is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and is able to accept tax-deductible donations from company matching gift programs. We have benefitted from these programs in the past and appreciate anything you can do to facilitate a matching gift. The PG has many sponsorship opportunities. If you own a business, or know someone who does, and would like to contribute to one of our projects, please reach out to us. Thank you, in advance, for your support! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. ori Umbrino (umbrinos@verizon.net) & Erika Roth (maricier@yahoo.com) Co-VPs of Fundraising Detach and end to Main Office: Attention Annual Fundraising Campaign Include cash or check made payable to WR atz PG. tudent(s) Name: Grade: Parent/Guardian Name: Address: Amount Enclosed: $100$75$50 $25 Other_ This promotion is sponsored by The W.R. atz PG
