2 Who are bibic and what do we do? bibic is a small national charity which supports children and young people with disabilities and developmental difficulties including Cerebal Palsy, Autism and ADHD. These conditions affect a child s ability to communicate as well as develop socially and physically and often have a profound effect on their home and school lives. bibic provides crucial support by carefully assessing each child. Our therapists take a holistic approach, assessing developmental, cognitive, sensory and physical needs and then create a therapy programme for each child. Parents then gain a greater understanding of their child s disability and how to better manage it. We arm them with practical solutions, skills and strategies to support their child at home and at school. The effects really are life changing for children and those around them: Children who could not smile, now giggle Who once were silent, now talk Who could not bear to be touched, now cuddle Who sat alone, now sit with others The Gala Dinner bibic s charity gala dinner will be held on Thursday November 22 nd 2018 at Pennard House, Somerset. Owned by the Dearden family and the location of choice for Vogue and Marie Claire, Pennard House is a beautiful, country estate in the South Somerset countryside. Guests will be treated to a drinks reception with canapes in the wonderful Coach House. There will an opportunity to network and meet fellow guests before going upstairs to enjoy a three-course dinner courtesy of Caroline Gent Catering. We have invited a number well known personalities with life experience of the conditions we treat to speak during the dinner. In addition, a family whose child has been to bibic will tell guests about their positive experiences of bibic and the amazing difference our support has had on their child s and the wider family s life. We aim to secure 100 guests at the dinner which is targeted at businesses and wealthy individuals in the Somerset and South West. Invites will be sent via and post and the dinner will be promoted on bibic s social media channels to maximise reach. We are also in discussions with the Somerset media to secure a media partner for the event.
