Rita, Samar Type of Activity GMM Seminar x Socio-Civic Others Activity in line with 4Ps Profession x Professional x Professional Organization Professional Product Activity in support of the UAP corporate thrust x Unity Accountability Professional Excellence Originally planned on December 16, 2017, the gift-giving activity was postponed and moved back to a later date which was December 22 due to Typhoon Urduja. Uncertainty still hang amongst us as we found out soon that another typhoon was about to hit and make landfall on Dec. 22. Luckily Region 8 was spared from the second storm and our gift-giving activity pushed through as scheduled. Although it was pouring on that day, it didn't dampened the mood of the members. We wanted to share our blessings and we can't wait to give it. When we arrived at the vicinity, we realized that the area was badly hit by Typhoon Urduja. We found out that the school was used as evacuation center, but wasn't spared from the flood which reached almost hip level that destroyed most of their school mediums. When we arrived there, we could see that they were tired and weary but a little excited when they saw presents and a bit curious on what we have in store for them. On this activity, the UAP San Juanico partnered with McDonalds Tacloban and we weren't disappointed. McDonalds prepared a program full of fun and excitement that the children could barely control their happiness. It was so contagious that we couldn't help but feel proud that somehow we were responsible of that happiness. It was a very rewarding experience. Something we will not hesitate to do again should the opportunity arise. This particular CSR is something that the UAP San Juanico members will forever remember. The program started with thanksgiving prayer, followed by a few speeches of appreciation and games and more games accompanied with good music, the UAP San Juanico members really did have a blast at their Christmas Party which was sponsored by Boysen Paints.
