Since it s chartering in 2010 the chapter has gone thru many phases, challenges and changes and with it comes also success and failure, but as in any organizations we try to grow in a way that will make us rise up and evolve in the vision that we have set from the beginning. 4 The Grand price of the Raffle Draw Dinner Buffet UAP-Dubai 7 The Limited Edition T-shirt giveaways A glimpse of the attendees Registration area It was truly a night of celebration, fun and excitement. The celebration started with the Invocation, the National Anthem of the Philippines and the UAP Hymn. The video was played for the summary of all the activities and programs of UAP Dubai for the past year Next is the welcome remarks of our President Jaime Tasarra Jr. for the attendees, guests and VIPs. Presentation of some of the incoming programs of UAP-Dubai for the FY and the first set of Raffle Draws was given. A musical rendition caps the first part of the celebration. Dinner comes next with an excellent Buffet Set for all the attendees. Third part started with the Recognition of the Officers for the FY as well as some Special Awards, then the Induction of the new set of Officers for the FY A musical rendition ends the 3 th part. The 4 th part is the Grand price of the raffle draw and a photoshoot for all the attendees end the night of celebration. 5 ACTIVITY NO.2 Title of Activity SPLBE-FLEA JOINT PRE-BOARD EXAM Date August 4, 2017 Total Attendees Abu Dhabi & Dubai Aspirants (120 ) Venue PGS, Abu Dhabi Joint Pre-Board Exam Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others Pre-board Exam The 2017 SPLBE_FLEA Aspirants of Dubai and Abu Dhabi The 2017 SPLBE-FLEA Joint Pre-Board Exam of Dubai and Abu Dhabi was held last August 4, 2017 at the Philippine Global School in Abu Dhabi. Over 120 aspirants took the exam. This is an annual joint pre-board exam collaborated with Abu Dhabi as prelude to the Board exam which will be held at the same location this coming September. Pres. 6 ACTIVITY NO. 3 & 4 Title of Activity MASS /RECOGNITION DAY 2017 SPLBE-FLEA Date August 11, 2017 Total Attendees 60 aspirants and BOD Venue Intramuros Rest. Deira Mass for guidance & acknowledgement for hard work Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others Mass & Recognition Day MASS AND RECOGNITION DAY OF SPLBE-FLEA 2017 The sent off Mass for the Dubai Aspirants at St. Mary s Church A sent off Mass was held for the 2017 SPLBE-FLEA Dubai Aspirants at St. Mary s Church in Dubai last August 11, 2017 as tradition before the actual Board Exam this coming September. At least 60 of the aspirants went and received prayers and encouragement for the coming Board Exam. Also present is our President James Tasarra, Vice President Rhea Jessica Mira, and Ar. 7 Recognition Day 2017 SPLBE FLEA -Dubai After the mass at St. Mary s Church in Oud Metha, the BOD, Batch Azmia and the aspirants went to Intramuros Restaurant in Deira for the Recognition Day. Here the Mentors Batch Azmia prepared lunch for the aspirants as well the closing of the 2017 SPLBE-FLEA Review. Plaques, Certificate and Gifts were given to all the aspirants who participated for the past 6 months of review in American College of Dubai. It was made special with the presence of Pres. Participated by Architects from ABA,and PLEA joins to complete the 15 members headed by Coach Don Derrick Don Hatamosa and Bench San Juan. 10 ACTIVITY NO.6 Title of Activity KICK OFF MEETING AIA-ME AND UAP-DUBAI Date August 15, 2017 Total Attendees 9 attendees Venue Herman Miller Showroom, Dubai Meeting for Introduction and Information for the Activity Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others Collaboration KICK OFF MEETING AIA-ME AND UAP-DUBAI COLLABORATION International Collaboration: UAP Dubai as Steering Committee to the 2017 AIA Middle East Year End Conference. UAP Dubai Chapter is the Official Steering Committee to the 2017 AIA Middle East YEAR END CONFERENCE as Part of the Chapters program in terms of International Collaboration among the Accredited Professional Organization. The conference will be a series of events including project tours, lectures by regional and international architects and professionals in the construction industry, film series, and panel discussions of relevant issues. These events will create a forum for the exchange of ideas and networking among industry professionals. the Kick off meeting was held at the Herman Miller Showroom in Dubai Marina and was attended by UAP Dubai s Board of Directors and AIA Officers. This event and participation will strengthen the network connection and maintain good relationship to other Accredited Professional Organization in the Middle East. Maria Roma Sanez receiving the Certificate of Accreditation from Vice Consul Elizabeth Ramos at Consular Office in Al Qusais Dubai, UAE Community: CONSULAR ACCREDITATION: UAP Dubai Chapter has successfully submitted and gets approval of our organization as one of the accredited organization under the Consulate of Dubai: The UAP-Dubai Chapter with its Officers collected all the necessary requirements for the accreditation of our organization. The work started as soon as the start of the Membership Drive of UAP Dubai Chapter with the registration of the members as one of the requirements. The work has been successful as we finally got the Certificate of Recognition last August 27, 2017 at the Consular Office in Al Qusais Dubai, with our Vice President of Operations Ar. Rhea Jessica Mira and UAP-Chapter Secretary Ar. Maria Roma Sanez receiving the certificate from Vice Consul Elizabeth Ramos.
